Chill-Out was the theme of Saturday.
Had a great time having afternoon tea at Ritz Carlton's Chihuly Lounge with Baby, Candy and Desmond!
My all time fave hotel...
I felt like such a tai-tai...leisurely and relaxed.
I love having afternoon tea!
This is only my 2nd time gg for such afternoon teas.
First time was about 2yrs back at S'pore Island Country Club w Baby and his family.

The afternoon tea buffet at Ritz was more of a pastry and snack kinda tea.
The pastries are all so pretty!
I still prefer those authentic english tea type though.

They had this really shiok homemade liqour that is a concoction of apple, cinnamon and vodka served in this uber cute shot glass. Super nice!

Check out the Ice Lemon Tea. So cool!
Those are ice lemon tea ice cubes, and you r supposed to then pour tea, sugar syrup and squeeze fresh lemon in it.

Tea ended at 5pm, but we still sat there and hung out till almost 8pm!
It was a good 4 hours at Ritz with Cands and Des, chatting and lazing ard.

After our tea cum dinner, Baby and I headed to Harry's Bar at Esplanade to catch the Man Utd vs Everton match.


Then my besties came to meet up with us to head to Prive!
I suugested gg Prive coz I feel that we r getting old and that we shud be more happening and explore more cool places!
Prive is this waterfront bar at Keppel Bay Vista.


Ambience is great, food is uber yummy, drinks r good.
But a tad too expensive.
Baby and my champagne cocktail - Bellini & Flirtini, costs $22 each.
The fries costs $12, and the scallop with bacon costs $16.
But I tell ya, it was super delicious.
Plain shiok.

I was really tired and sleepy at the end of the day.
Ate too much, felt lethargic.
If I still had the energy, I wud have popped by the nearby St James!

What a day! - Afternoon tea, beer drinking + soccer action, chillout at Prive.
That's LIFE.

Sunday involved lotsa food again.
Baby gave his family a treat to Tony Roma's to celebrate his increment upon his 6 mths confirmation in his company.

That night, we caught the Chelsea Vs Liverpool match,
n Liverpool won!
Woohoo! I was so happie! =)
Liverpool is now top of the EPL table. Yay!!!!!!!!!

Halloween next week! Party time!

Fire at Aussie camp

My bro is in Aussie now for NS training since 2 weeks ago.
He called home yesterday to informed us that his camp was on fire!
Whole camp kenna burnt and so their belongings are ALL GONE.

Apparently they were out for field trip when the fire broke out and burnt the whole camp down.
Reason for breakout of fire is not known yet.
My bro's belongings like clothes, shoes and PSP all burnt and gone.
All he had on him is his army uniform, his hp and his camera.
Dunno if he has his wallet with him anot.
My mum said that she din get a chance to talk that long to him.
Just a brief call back to tell us wat happened and that he is safe.
Then he had to pass on the calling card to other NS mates liao.

So poor thing.
I heart-pain the PSP most.
ALl the games and stuff gone.
Plus it was pretty ex when me and my dad bought it for him as a birthday gift last year.

He is scheduled to come back next week,
and there is no change in the date even though this incident happened.
I wonder where they r gg to stay and what they r gg to wear.

Hope my bro comes back soon.

Butterfly Besties

Girls Day Out today!
Met up with my besties for shopping dinner n movie =)

Was supposed to go clubbing today but due to a series of unforseen circumstances,
clubbing was cancelled.
So we hung out and did girly stuff instead.

Baby kenna recalled back to NS today for some exercise. So poor thing.
Whole of his sat gone. He has to stay overnight and will only be back on Sunday evening.

Anywayz, me and the girls had fun shopping.
Managed to collect my 2 new dresses today after alteration.
I din buy anything though...alry spent a lot on shopping for the past 2 weeks.
Brought Yanz to our fave shop to buy a white dress.
I bought the black version and got her to buy the white one!
So cool...haha.

Stumble upon this pretty cool cap in far east plaza.
Matched what i was wearing.
Quite like it but the cap had the words "AFNY" in silver glitter words.
Din know wat it stood for.
N i also dunno where to wear the cap to. So din buy.


Dinner at this chinese ramen noodle place at Far East.
Had super nice fried gyoza too! Yumz!

LY dun wanna take photo.
Coz poor LY lost one side of her hard lens and it takes one week to make another one.
So she wore specs and dun wanna take photos.


After dinner we went to catch the movie 'Butterfly Lovers'!
Coz got Wu Chun!
So SHUAI!


We were so excited coz it is supposed to be a romantic and touching love story.
In the end it turned out to be a disappointment coz the ending sucks...
Some parts were damn ridiculous,
there was no chemistry between the 2 leads,
and it seemed more like a comedy than a touching show.
We laughed a lot, even at the sad parts where death is involved,
coz it really looked very funny and ridiculous lar!

But Wu Chun was so handsome throughout the movie.
The producers made him look damn good, whether he is just standing there,
jumping off the rooftop, getting slashed, or even dying.
They even purposely slow-mo one part when he was jumping off the roof and landing,
with the wind in his hair...
just to portray the heroic dashing look.
But it really makes you go..'wah....'
Totally SHUAI!
Wu Chun...*weet!*
N his body damn good lar! woah!


Ok i think i better stop gushing about him.
Machiam some teenage ger.
Need to maintain my 'image'.

Weekend with my darlings

Spent the weekend hanging out with my darling girlfrens.
Love them so much! =)

Friday was spent with Cands after work.
Poor Cands was unable to buy her Nine West shoes at the Taka Sale last Friday!
Of the 3 shoes she liked, one pair did not have her size,
one was torn and the other was scratched.

Me? I went to my fave shop to collect my altered dress
and ended up buying another 2 more new dresses and 1 skirt.
Hahaha!

We had a great time catching up and chatting like the good old days.
It was as if she never went to London and that we were nvr apart for 1 year.
Coz the feeling is still the same when im with her.
Good old darlin' Cands.
Good old cheeky girls.
No more girls though.
Ahem, we are like old women now.
That day we both had really tired aching legs.

We had a yummilicious dinner at this Japanese Soba Restaurant at Paragon!
We each had one soba dinner set and shared a really yummy dessert!
The last time we went there, we had the same dessert.
This meal set us back by $35 each! *gasp!*



Sat was spent at Yanz house baking cupcakes!
I never knew that I cud bake, and that baking isnt that difficult.
In fact, it is so fun!

We baked Chocolate Chip Walnut Cupcakes.
And I was really generous with the chocolate chip portions.
So the cupcake turned out really nice with melted chocolate chips inside,
plus nuts to add on to some crunch!
Even Nic took part in the baking and im surprised that he's pretty good!
He claims that he knows how to bake coz he had to take home econmics back in sec sch.
Eh hello, then a lot of ppl know how to bake lar?
Coz everyone had to take home econs mah?
But yeah lar, we were pretty impressed by him.

We baked 5 batches of cupcakes in 3 hours, which equates to 60 cupcakes!!!





Daph came to join us after baking to have the popular Shun Shun Teochew Porridge for dinner!
Really very shiok and very nice to eat! =)


After dinner we adjorned back to Yanz house and watched "The Leap Years" movie on dvd.


Not too bad a local production.
Coz the male lead who is a Thai is very handsome leh!
Other than that, nice story line but a few unbelievable and weird moments in the movie.

Chillout @ Brewerkz

Met up with my besties after work last Friday.
Went shopping at our favourite shop!!!
As usual we spent a lot of time there and practically hogged the fitting rooms!
I bought 2 dresses, 1 top, 1 skirt and 1 belt.
Yanz bought a dress and a skirt.
LY bought a bag and a top.
So happie lar!
It has been almost 2 mths since i last went to our fave shop.
I get such a comfortable and happie shopping experience there everytime.

Den we proceed to brewerkz to have our dinner and have some drinks.
Took a cab there coz it was alry almost 9pm and i was so hungry i cud feel my gastric acting up.
Well, for gers, we can give up eating for shopping lor. Haha.

We had yummy spicy seafood pizza, new classic calzone (with sausages) and calamari, and 2 jugs of golden ale beer.
So shiok!
Food was delicious! Check out the huge portions.

Yanz had her fist next to the calzone to illustrate how big the giant curry puff looking calzone was.

Baby came to join us for dinner after his class at 10pm.


We had a really good time chatting and gossiping.
And discussing on our plans for the next few weekends.
We can almost draw up a calendar of events! =)

I wanna be a bunny too!

Went to catch the movie House Bunny with Baby on the public holiday on Wed.
Wat a cool show!


Yes the movie is more of a chick flick and very bimbotic.
But guys get a treat too coz of the bevy of cleavage revealing beauties esp those playboy bunnies in the playboy mansion.

My secret wish is to be a playboy bunny too! Wahahaha!
Not really lar, just wanna have a playboy bunny's figure.

Anna Faris really looked very good in the movie.
Her figure and tan rocks! Totally love her tan and tone body!
Woah, super motivating for me, makes me wanna work hard to tone up too!

I totally dig her pink bikini. Haha.
But she dun look as tan in this pic compared to in the movie.

If only we can dress like this in Singapore. So cool.

A Well Deserved Break

Took leave on Tuesday coz Wed was a public holiday.
So it was like a weekend to me with 2 days of no work.
Need the break since I worked the whole of Sat last weekend.

Taking leave on weekdays is so shiok!
No weekend crowd.
N doing things like watching movie and gg KTV is cheaper on weekdays!

Baby took leave with me and we went KTV! =)
We went super early at 130pm, and sang till 530pm.
Shiok. Long time nvr go KTV alry. Haha.



Check out the right bottom pic. There are 3 chinese songs by 吴奇隆 (Nicky Wu).
Surprisingly, they are all picked and sung by Baby!

Usually, when just the two of us go for KTV, we sing mostly English songs,
with only a few chinese songs sung by me.
Coz Baby know nuts about chinese songs and he doesnt know how to read most of the chinese words!
He ang moh one lar.
But on Tues, we sang a mixture of chinese and english songs!
It was so cool coz Baby could sing some chinese songs!
Some songs which i dun even know.
But Baby only knows how to sing some oldie chinese songs from Jimmy Lin and Nicky Wu era.
He used to like Nicky Wu n Jimmy Lim lots...rem Little Tigers 小虎队???
Haha! But he still doesnt know how to read the words off the KTV screen.
I thot I was already bad enuff but he is 10 times worse!
He last time fail chinese one lor. Wahaha!
Most of the time he was singing the song from his memory.
But it was really cool that my Baby can sing chinese songs! =)
I took some videos of him, but dun dare to post up leh.
He will kill me lor!

We had a really fun time in KTV.
We even sang lotsa oldies..including 'Together Forever',
and it made me wanna go Mambo at Zouk!
Well, I seldom go Mambo coz i grew out of it alry, no longer into retro.
But singing that song just brings back the groove and the memories!

After KTV, we went to Oriental Hotel for some Martini lovin' at Morton's Bar.
Their famed Martinis are at half price on weekdays from 5-7pm ($12 per glass only! USual price $24 - $28),
and they served free steak sandwiches.
Their steak is damn good!
From their famous Morton's the Steakhouse next door.
That's the place I wanna go eat on my bday! =)
Both the ambience and food look so good!
I wanna eat both lobster and steak!

I ordered a Lycheetini, and Baby ordered an Appletini.
Yummy! N the serving was really generous in a big Martini glass.
After which, we ordered anoher glass of Chocolate Martini.
Taste not bad also!
Must try all the Martinis lar!
They call it Mortinis at Morton's! Cool.


As the place is quite high class, i din dare to take much pic.

We felt kinda floaty after that. Feels so good and relaxed =)
We walked ard Marina Sq, which was pretty much still quite deserted coz not all roads are opened yet due to the F1 event.
We totally skipped dinner coz we were full from the snacks at KTV and the beef sandwich.
But we went to Gelare at Suntec to have waffle ice cream!
Tuesdays at Gelare are half-priced waffle days!
We absolutely love waffle ice cream!
N there is always room for desserts no matter how full.



It was such a happie happie day!
Even thought it was pouring heavily when we made our way home,
it was so romantic waiting for the bus together,
hugging tight while the rain splashed into the bus stop,
with the cold wind blowing at us till we are shivering.

It was so nice and romantic walking home from the bus stop in the heavy downpour,
getting wet together as we squeezed n cuddled under the small umbrella I had,
laughing as we waddle clumsily on the puddle-laden wet streets.

It's so nice to have someone who loves you in the rain.
