Back from F1

Im back from my F1 event.
Worked from 3pm - 11pm today! Totally shagged.
First half of the day was super stressful, esp with all the set up and preparations.
But once the event goes underway, everything was fine and started to be very fun!

At my event we had this car simulator game like Daytona,
and this other remote control toy F1 car race track game.
Both are super challenging and I had so much fun playing with them.
Cool!
Im quite good at the car simulator Daytona-like game! =)
There is really a accelarator and brake for you to step on, and a steering wheel.
Of coz i set to auto mode...coz i dunno how to drive manual. Wahaha!

Here's a polaroid photo that we took with one of the models at my event.
We hired 5 very tall and pretty models from Carrie models to be the grid girls at our event.
The marketing ppl (which is only me, my boss and my supervisor for tonight) wore Ferrari polo shirts!
This shirt cost $109 ok!
But luckily i dun have to pay. Haha!

After the event, we had extra walkabout tickets for staff to the F1 race!
But er...we are too tired and lazy to go.
Then 3 of us, the marketing ppl, got invited by the very nice hotel manager to go up to 2nd level cafe to get a view of the race.
So we went there to watch for awhile, and get into the F1 groove.
The loud vrooming sound really makes ppl very excited leh!
We had seats by the window.
But after awhile hor, it got really boring watching those car zoom by.
I took a few pics but most very blur coz my camera not SLR,
and the cars are really fast!

Being donned in the Ferrari shirt today,
there were quite a few ppl who came to ask me if I am with the Ferrari crew!
So flattered. Haha! I wish man!

I think I love my job...despite all the hard work.
At the end of the day, I feel happy.
It's fun! =)

F1 craze is driving me crazy!

With all the hype about F1 Singapore Grand Prix,
am I the only one wishing that F1 is over soon?

Here are my reasons why:
1. I have to work on Sat from 4pm - 11pm. Whole sat burnt coz I got a F1 corporate hospitality event to host our customers. Gonna be so tired. Am already currently very busy at work preparing for this dumb F1 frenzy.

2. Cant spend time with Baby this weekend coz he is busy on Fri and Im busy on Sat.

3. Church on Sunday will be combined service at 10am at Indoor Stadium coz roads at Suntec are closed. I usually attend the afternoon service at Suntec. Meaning, I have to wake up early and travel further, altho i will be slping late the night before coz of my event.

4. Roads are closed, traffic congestion, MRT congestion. Oh my goodness. Nightmare! Travel by both roads and mrt also crowded. Drive or take train also sian. Take train gotto squeeze like siao with ppl! =(

5. Chaotic crazy ppl out during the weekends. I cant take the crowd! So this weekend (which is only Sunday for me) must try to stay at home and not go out and get caught in the human jam!

6. Go anywhere also troublesome lar!

Cant believe it.
I was one of the top 10 finalists in the BF Goodrich F1 Pit Girls competition...about 6 years ago.


I rem that we had to go thru a catwalk and posing selection, then go thru an interview.
Seriously I think they got no one better to choose lor, so chose me. Wahaha!
Or maybe during the interview I can speak well and sound like I have a happening life,
coz they were looking for personality too.
Maybe the other models cant speak that well? Haha *ahem bimbo mah*.
That's how i got lucky i guess.

Was supposed to go to Sepang Malaysia for the finals during the F1 race period.
This competition's aim is to choose a model to be BF Goodrich tyres' ambassador.
So crappy.
End up the competition got cancelled coz of the Sars scare.
But I got paid $150 just for this photoshoot. Plus a F1 goodie bag.
All I had to do is to sit there for about 2 hours to get my make-up n hair done,
wait for my turn, go into the studio, listen to instructions,
pose and shoot for about 8 shots.
And then im done.

Looking back, I think it was quite a fun experience modelling!
Albeit a very short stint.
Im so not photogenic lar...so din get a lot of opportunities.
No unique face, no sharp features, not tall.
Not leggy enuff, not boobsy enuff.
Crap.

Hello Kitty Lantern Festival

Finally recovered from all my illnesses
and made our way to the long awaited Hello Kitty Lantern Festival at Chinese Garden!

Met up with my besties on Sat for some nice dinner at IMM's Ichiban Boshi.
Yumz!
It was Baby's first time eating at Ichiban Boshi.
So sua ku right?
Wahahaha!

IMM's reallly quite a happening place! It was pretty crowded when we went there.
I seldom go there and thought it is some ulu and quiet place.
Lotsa food outlets and restaurants there!

As usual, we had so much food that there was no more room for dessert =(




It was both Baby's and Yanz' first time to the Chinese Garden.
Once again...so sua ku lar!!!
Esp for Baby, the day of his first-times.

But everyone else was quiet.

The last Hello Kitty Lantern Festival at Chinese Garden was 5 years ago.
I hope i dun have to wait another 5 years for the next Hello Kitty Lantern exhibition lor!
Maybe next year there will be Disney Lantern Fest.
Yay! Den we wud all wanna go! =)
