Damn SUAY Day!

Today is a really damn SUAY day lar!!!

Here's my series of unfortunate events:

1. I got to work late.
We had a guest speaker coming in from our overseas branch
and the whole sector had to attend this discussion cum briefing session at 9am.
I reached office at 9am, and had to rush to put my bag in the office
then rush upstairs to the conference floor.
I was about 10 mins late by the time i got to the conference room,
and 95% were there alry!.
So had to sit right at the corner at the back.
Cudnt sit with my team ppl. Like so poor thing.
I usually reach office at 845am!
(We start work at 830am, but my team usually reaches ard 845am.)

2. My shoe spoilt.
One of my fave pair of shoes which is cream coloured and has a nice flower on top, spoilt today.
The flowers came off this morning when I had a discussion with one of the business heads at his office.
Den as i left, he spotted my flower on the floor.
So he picked it up and walked up to me and said "Is this yours?"
I looked down and realised the flower on my left shoe was gone.
In its place is this yellow square glue patch instead.
It was SO MALU lar!!!
Super duper paiseh can!!!
So i faked a laugh, like it was so silly and funny.
Den I just said "Oops, yeah. Thanks!"
How DUMB.

I stuck it back using double-sided tape and the adhesive seemed quite strong.
So i was confident it wun drop and that I cud last throughout the day
b4 I go home and put superglue.
It lasted throughout lunch.
But when I went to the toilet after lunch, it dropped again.
I panicked but managed to find the flower at near the lifts on my way back from the toilet.
So lucky.
So i stuck it back with more tape.

Den I went for a recce visit to a restaurant for my event planning.
I was almost reaching back to the office alry when I saw that the flower on my left shoe is gone again!
It is really gone now, as it has dropped somewhere along the way and i dunno where!
Shit! Now my shoe look like crap. Super ugly.
Coz one side got big flower, the other side dun have.
Got this stupid ugly square yellow glue patch instead.
And i also noticed a rather deep crease at the side of my shoe!
So I hurried to the shoe shop to buy a new pair of shoes.

3. The only 2 pair of shoes I liked wasnt available in my size.
So suay again.
Wanna buy shoe also so difficult.
The only 2 pairs of shoes that i fancied in the shop was not available in my size!
And i had to buy cream coloured shoes to replace my spolit shoes,
and also to match what i was wearing.
So i no choice anyhow chose one pair of beige shoes that was on sale.
On sale but still costs me $30.
Idiot!!! Waste my money lar!
I just bought a new pair of shoes recently!

4. I banged my whole bloody face into a glass door.
Yah you heard me right.
After the dumb shoe incident, i was alry very late.
I had to rush back to office to settle some stuff then go for my restaurant venue recces again.
My whole schedule was pushed back all becoz i had to go buy a new pair of shoes.
At one of my recce, I was leaving the restaurant and rushing to my next appointment.
The restaurant was on the 3rd floor, and I had to go to the 2nd floor to take the lift.
When i was making a right turn, im supposed to go thru this glass door
to walk to the other end to get to the lift.
But i was walking so fast and not really paying attention coz i was thinking about some work stuff,
and i BANGED straight into the glass door.
The glass door was not very obvious ok!
The whole thing was glass except this low silver handle.
N i was turning a corner at high speed so i smacked straight into it!
And it made a damn loud "gong" sound!
My whole nose rammed into it and there was lipstick mark and nose oil stain on the glass!
Yes yes very comical I know.
Like dumb TV show where the person ram into the glass and slide their face down the glass as if they fainted.

It is super f**king painful ok!!!
The pain in my nose was so bad that i was wincing like shit,
and 2 streaks of tears just automatically flowed out from my eyes.
I cant stop it at all! It is a natural reaction.
I wasnt crying, but the pain in my nose was so great that it affected my eyes.
Machaim someone punched me real hard in my nose.
And my whole nose and eyes were red like hell.
I looked like i have been crying for 2 hours.
SO TOTALLY PAISEH!

I had to act normal,
while tolerating the almost unbearable pain,
while using my fingers to try and wipe off the lip gloss and oil stain off the glass.
The glass was still patchy though, so i hecked care alry lar.
I was in too much pain to care about cleaning the glass,
so i left the patch there.
Den i took out the mirror to check on my nose.
I thot i broke my nose or smthg!
And i thot it might be bleeding or smthg!

Seriously my nose felt broken.
After that it din stop hurting till at least half an hour later.
Until now, my nose is occasionally blocked.
Think i broke some blood vessels coz my nose is still a bit red at the bridge area,
N if i touched my nose bridge or try to wriggle my nose, it hurts.
I think after 2 more days, there may be a blue black on my nose.
SHIT.

Luckily no one was there when the incident happened.
It was quite ulu there at 4pm.
No one ard.
Thank goodness no one saw!
But now that i think about it,
i hope there are no security cameras that witnessed the whole thing!
Else I might be placed on YouTube and
the whole world will be laughing their ass off at me!
SHIT!

5. I kenna 5 mosquito bites within 10 mins.
One of my left arm, one on my right arm,
two on my left leg and one on my right leg.
All bitten within the 10 mins that I was sitting at the al fresco dining area of a restaurant that i was visiting.
It was itchy like mad!

How SUAY can i get?
You tell me how suay can I be?

ARGH!!!
Cant stand it!
Im glad the day is over.

Good News. Bad News.

Ok I got one good news and one bad news.
Which should i announce first?
K lar BAD NEWS first ok.

Bad News: Farewell Wang Wang

One of Baby's dog died last Friday.
It was Wang Wang, the maltese.
She suffered from tumour and she was suffering badly.
So the vet advised that she be put to sleep.
So with a jab, she is gone.

It all started when she was shivering badly for a few days.
Machiam parkinson disease.
So i asked Baby if she may be sick. Or maybe too cold.
It continued for awhile then she started becoming kinda smelly.
Apparently there was a weird ordour coming from her.
So Baby's dad brought her to the vet coz she seems quite sick.
Wang wang so poor thing.
When she was sick. She also had ticks on her body.
And I was told that some stupid birds came to peck on her body!
So bad right! N she was too weak to defend herself.

The vet said she is very old alry and since she is suffering, better to let her go.
A bit sad lar.
I feel bad for always saying that she is smelly when she comes and disturb me.

Now Nana, the other dog, a jack russell, seems kinda lonely.
Nobody to play with her, run around with her and fight with her over food anymore.

Bye Bye Wang Wang.

They say that all dogs go to heaven.
Is it really true?

Now for the GOOD NEWS!

Good News: My brother passed his driving test on his first attempt!

My bro took his driving test today for the first time.
And he passed!
With only 6 demerit points!
Wah! I was so surprised.
I thot that he wud fail and only pass on his 2nd attempt.
But really proud of him though..so smart!
I guess guys are really good at such technical things huh?

Baby also passed on his first attempt last time with only 4 points!
Havent heard of anyone who got 2 points or less and pass on first attempt though.
So i guess Baby is one of the best! Yay!
And my brother is 2nd best!
Haha!
And I totally suck lar!
I din pass on my first attempt, and i passed with 14 points.
So shitty.

Yay now i've got 3 chauffeurs!
Used to be Daddy.
Den became Daddy and boyfriend,
Den now become Daddy and boyfriend and brother!
Cool!
Congrats bro!
You owe me a treat coz I lent you my driving theory books in the past and
now I am lending you my old p-plate!
Hahahaha!

Eh shit lar, now because of you I have to drive Daddy's car with the dumb p-plate again =(

Burnt Lobster

Sat was shopping day.
Baby wanted to shop for work shoes coz his current pair is kinda spoilt.
And after he shopped for his stuff, we shopped for mine!
I managed to buy some lingerie from La Senza at Robinsons
coz Robinsons was having 20% discount storewide for cardholders.

Being fully recovered from my gastric flu,
Baby and I wanted to go for a nice yummy dinner!
We went for dinner at Spagheddies! One of our all time fave place.
Baby was craving for pizza and I wanna eat aglio olio.

Pizza always makes Baby very happie.

At least he shares with me. Hehe.


I originally wanted to order my usual fave vongole pasta in white wine sauce,
But suddenly i felt that im so boring, keep eating the same thing.
I ALWAYS eat pasta dishes at Spagheddies.
Coz it is called 'Spagheddies' mah, haha, so pasta there must be of some standard.

Den i saw this picture of lobster on the menu.
Lobster!!!
I salivated.
So i decided to order this lobster and chicken with aglio olio pasta dish.
N not order a pasta main dish for once.


I regretted.
The nicest part of the dish was the pasta.
So i should have just stuck to eating vongole PASTA!
The lobster totally dun look like the lobster in the pic.
The lobster is so small!
These baby lobsters look like crayfish instead.
And worse of all, i thot the black stuff coating the lobster was black pepper coz i cud smell pepper.
But it turned out that it was burnt and not pepper!
There was this 'chau tar' taste!
Cheat my money!!!


The chicken tasted nice on the first bite coz of the nicely coated crispy parts.
But when i got deeper into the meat,
you'd realise that it is actually quite plain and not well marinated.
Sian.
The saving grace was the aglio olio pasta. Very nice!

Ok so in conclusion, Spagheddies is only good for their pastas...and some pizzas.

I wanna eat yummy huge juicy succulent and well marinated lobsters!!!

My corporate event at the Flyer

Organized a corporate event for a group of our bank's customers on Friday at the Singapore Flyer.
The Singapore Fireworks Celebrations took place on 22 and 23 Aug,
so we had our event on 22 Aug so that our customers can go on-board the Flyer to view the spectacular fireworks!

Firnge activities included Fish Spa therapy at Kenko Foot Reflexology and Fish Spa outlet at the Flyer,
followed by a nice sumptous seafood dinner at Seafood Paradise Restaruant,
before we board the Flyer (Signature Cocktail Private Capsule).

Overall it was quite fun!
Altho i was stressed and busy most of the time,
I had quite a bit of fun and excitment as well.

Before the event started, my boss and colleagues tried the fish spa ourselves first.
But of coz i din try.
Im terrified!
I totally hate fishes..those icky yucky smelly slimy things. GROSS!

Luckily i din try the fish spa.
Look at my scared and tortured colleagues!
They were laughing and tickled and scared and disgusted all at the same time.
Apparently it was very ticklish, and it gave my colleagues goose pimples.
N it is so digusting to have so many small fishes sucking at your feet.
But after awhile it got better coz you get used to the feeling.
I saw some customers there who looked very shiok or at peace!





After dinner, we brought our customers up to the Flyer.
Booked 2 Signature Cocktail private capsules.
The fireworks was scheduled to start at 9pm.
But due to the rain earlier in the evening, it got delayed!
The fireworks din start till 9.25pm.
And the first capsule missed it!
I was in the 2nd capsule and we manage to catch about 10 mins of it.
Which was only half of the fireworks.

My poor customers.
We were all rushing to make sure we cud board the flyer by 9pm to catch the fireworks,
only to have it delayed.
So angry lar!
I was quite disappointed but lucikly still managed to catch some fireworks viewing on the flyer.
Quite a cool experience.

Anyway it was super packed at the Singapore Flyer that day coz everyone was there to catch the fireworks!
There was a massive jam and queue,
altho we din really have to queue since we went thru the express boarding lane.
But still, it was really chaotic and i must say that the Flyer staff are really disorganized and totally inexperienced in handling this.
Really bad.
And the so-called 'butlers' in our capsule was totally slow and inexperienced too!
They took so long to prepare the cocktail for us that me and my colleague had to help them.
Crap!

I am so going to complain and give my feedback to the Flyer management when I get back to office on Monday!

After the whole event, we managed to finally sit down and have dinner ath the Seafood Paradise restaurant.
It was already 10pm when it ended.

I must say the Seafood Paradise is good!
The food is really really nice!
Highly recommended!
Must try their crabs! Superb!
Esp their signature crab dish - Creamy Butter crab.
I ate their chilli crab too.
Shiok!



I managed to reach home at 1150pm.
Just in time to wish my mummy a Happy Birthday before the day ends.
Yeah it was my mum's bday on Friday.
I had to work so cudnt celebrate with her.
But I bought a cake the day before to cut cake with her though. Hee.

Tired.

Get Buttered.

Yanz has sent over the pics we took on Sat!
Last Sat was Yanz and LY's virgin trip to Butter Factory.
The last time Baby and I been there was like...2 years ago.

Overall, we still prefer Arena.
Butter Factory's R&B and hip hop is not bad, but somehow,
the way they spin the music isnt as danceable as the way it sounds at Arena.
Also, they play lotsa old R&B, like those from 3-6 years back...
which kinda bored me out a little.

But there was once, they played a string of really nice new r&b songs!
That was the highlight!
Den it died down.
We din really get to dance coz at that time,
there was still no one on the dancefloor as everyone's still drinking.
N by the time everyone got to the dancefloor,
the music somehow dun really appeal to us anymore.
There was once they even played Maroon 5's "This Love"
How weird!
Then in between, they played this whole bunch of hip hop rappish songs which i dunno.

Baby and I got in for free coz we were UOB plat card holders.
But we got no free drinks.
Yanz and LY paid $21 to get 2 free drinks each.
So we exchanged it for a jug of whisky coke and bought 4 pints of Asahi beer as there was 1-for-1.
We were so NOT contented.

BUT! At Arena, there's free flow for ladies till 1am at $30.
We can drink until so shiok!!!
We prefer the crowd and music at Arena too.

I dunno why there was this period of time last time when i really liked Butter Factory.
I guess that's coz there wasnt any cool R&B club ard at that time.
After that period, I kept gg to Boiler at St James.
Now I find it kinda boring there alry.

Arena is still keeping our appetites! =)

Ok we are going back to Arena.

2 Sick Girls

Im on mc today...again!
Twice within a month.
Hope my boss wun think badly of me! =(

Im down with fever and gastric flu.

It started on Sunday when my tummy felt really quesy after dinner,
and after 3 hours, I puked out almost all of my dinner.
N it is still not digested.
I can still see the bits of rice and vegetables and kimchi.
I had Korean Bimbimbap for dinner.
I thot i was fine after i puked.
Coz i thot i was having indigestion.

Den on Monday, i felt feverish when i was at work.
N i felt naseous for the whole day and cudnt eat much.
But I hung on throughout the day coz it was a really busy day at work.
At night, i popped panadol and went to bed early.
I was hoping i can get enuff rest and will be fine the next day.

But when I woke up today,
even before i ate anything, i alry felt like puking...
and i went to the toilet 3 times this morning with a naseous feeling
but nothing came out..only puked saliva out.
Coz my tummy empty mah.
It was den i knew that it may not be indigestion.
It is also not food poisoning which i had 2 weeks ago coz i had no severe tummy cramps or diarhoea,
altho I keep wanting to vomit.

So I decided not to go to work and slept in a little longer before gg to the doctor's.
I was diagnosed with gastric flu.
Sobz.
Gastric flu and food poisoning always wanna knock on my door.
My poor tummy is so weak.

Den when i smsed LY to tell her that I was on mc and sick with gastric flu,
coincidentally, she was also on mc...and was down with the same illness!
How coincidental is that!
Same day mc with same illness.

We suspected that it may be because of something we ate over the weekend
as we spent Friday and Sat together.
But dunno leh, nothing seems too suspicious.
Yanz, Nic and Shaojun (the ppl whom we met for meals over the weekend) were fine.

Aiyah, we are just weak lar.
Two poor girls with the same dumb gastric flu that is out to torture us
and suck the energy out of us.
I have been feeling so weak, lethargic, with no appetite the whole day.
When i see food, i just wanna puke!

Nvm, look on the bright side.
I can lose weight.
Altho I think im getting quite thin lately. =(

Boss. Hugo Boss.

Went shopping for a short shopping trip with LY on Sat afternoon
before we head out for our clubbing at Butter Factory at night.
We wanted to go to this Loreal sale that I heard of at Suntec convention.
Apparently there is 30-70% off, and consist of brands like HR, Biotherm, Shu Uemura and Lancome.
In the end...it was so disappointing.
It was actually a Tangs sale, where within it, there were a few counters for Loreal products.
But there wasnt any loreal products at all.
Yes indeed they do have Shu Uemura, HR, Biotherm and Lancome.
But the products very limited and not very suitable leh...
All old stock that they r trying to clear.
LY managed to grab a HR mascara though...but it turned out to be blue mascara!
Nvm lar...can wear go club. Haha.

But the highlight to me was this block of watch counters.
They had watches from Juicy Couture, Hugo Boss, Guess, Esprit, Fossil, Tommy Hilfiger etc..
But disappointingly dun have Marc Jacobs.
Den I spotted this super nice Hugo Boss watch which I felt suits Baby so much!
When I saw it, it was love at first sight!
I knew I had to buy it for Baby.
Was looking for a watch to buy for his bday in June, but cudnt find anything really nice,
esp from Hugo Boss, coz that's his fave brand.
I ended up buying him a spa package.

Now that I saw this watch which is probably the most ideal I have seen,
I cudnt miss the chance.
So I bought it for Baby even though there was no occasion.
I was so excited!!!
Esp coz I know Baby will love it coz of both the simple classy design and the brand.
Anyway the best news is that it was retailing for about $500, but was on 50% discount!
So it only costs $250.
And there was still the usual the one year guarantee for the watch.
They were having sale coz they were selling last season's design.
So worth it right!
Perfecto!!!

Had brownie with ice-cream, New York Cheesecake and Green Apple Shake.

After that i went home to take a short nap before meeting Baby for dinner,
and then the girls for clubbing and supper.

Mahjong Madness

Lately, my besties and I have caught on a Mahjong Craze!
After playing mj at Yanz last last Sat, we din get enuff and wanted to play again.
So what better day to play than on National Day?

Last Sat was probably very crowded in town and city hall area,
so it isnt a good day to go out.
Everywhere will be congested and crowded.
Esp trains since there was road closure.
Plus, it was raining on and off.

So I invited my darlings over to my house to chill and play mahjong!
It has been a super duper long time since they came over to my place.
We had such great comfy fun last Sat,
I'd love to have them over again! =)

LY lost all her beginner's luck.
Finally!
Hahahahahahahha!
She has been winning non-stop with her lucky zi mo wins the last 2 times we played!
She has finally passed the baton to someone else.

The King of Gambling (Nic) had some tough luck though.
He was supposed to be the most 'senior' and 'pro' in mj.
Yet....hahaha 2nd last sia.

We played "200 Pounds Beauty" DVD on TV too.
Watching and playing at the same time.
Till we can forget whose turn it was.
Super distracting.

Den i switched on the radio and tuned in to 987fm.
Super distracting too.
They were playing Club Hits from 11pm-1am.
We were enjoying the music so much that I was singing n humming,
and Nic was swaying and shaking his head to the music.
So much so that Nic totally did not know that it was his turn,
till all of us were staring hard at him.
(I bet he thought we were staring at him coz he was shuai. *ahem ahem*)
Anyway Yanz was excited that she was learning new songs for clubbing next time.
N LY felt a very strong urge to go Butter Factory.

So yay!
With that, we are planning to go Butter Factory for some R&B clubbing this coming Sat =)

Today, I had Monday Blues at work.
Totally sian.
Why cant they have 4 day weekdays and 3 days weekend?
Fridays shouldnt be a work day!
Weekends always always always go by too quickly =(

Sick. Sickening.

Im on mc today.
Sick with fever and food poisoning.
It was pretty bad such that i cudnt slp last night.
The food poisoning caused really painful waves of tummy ache/cramps.
I felt like puking too.

Felt better today.
Altho still feeling very weak and lethargic.
Terrible terrible feeling.
No appetite to eat also.

Good thing is i dun have to go to work today. (Yay!)
N food poisoning always makes me lose a lil' weight! (Double Yay!)

Im so glad i got my mummy to take care of me when im sick.
But I miss my Baby so much.
Have not seen him for 1 week straight already.
N on top of that, we have not spent time together for the past 2 weekends.
2 Fridays, 2 Saturdays, 2 Sundays...without him.
So SIAN.

Luckily I still got my darling frens.
They made me forget about him. Wahaha!
Had so much fun with them everytime.
Went out for nice yummy dinner with Soph and LY at Imperial Treasure Restaurant last Sat.
I was craving for custard bun and wanted to intro to the girls.
But they ran out of it! =(
Soph intro-ed me to this Scouffled Egg White Fritter with Banana and Red Bean.
Absolutely yummy!
Had my fave red bean pancake and xiao long bao too!

Yanz was down with slight fever on Sat.
But she was feeling alright at night, so me and LY went to visit her!
We had nothing much to shop in town alry anyway.
N Soph went to pick her hubby up from the airport.

At Yanz house, we had lotsa fun playing 3-legged mahjong!
It was only LY's 2nd time playing MJ and her beginner's luck have not wear off yet!
Shucks!
She is so lucky coz in most of her wins, she managed to draw the winning tile herself! (zi mo)
Wah Piangz!!!
No matter how me and Yanz try our best to scheme up and prevent her win by trying not throwing the tiles that she might possibly want,
she always managed to win with her own lucky hands!

Cant wait to see you soon.

30th July - Yanz actual bday.

We met up after work for dinner at PS Cafe at Dempsey.
Yanz chose the place coz she loves the faint smell of lilies there.
Lilies are her fave flowers!

Yanz totally loves it!
Of coz lar, your frens are very thoughtful ppl with very good taste.
She loves green. We managed to get the gift in green, the gift box in green and even the paperbag is green - all from Kate Spade.

Actually, we got her the cardholder coz I totally cant stand your 'Nightmare b4 Christmas' cardholder!
I laugh at her and complain about it every time without fail!
Totally cant stand it so i wanna get smthg nice to replace that for her!
Please chuck the nightmarish cardholder ok!!!

Our yummy food!
We over-ordered coz the portions are huge!
