Itz all about the money

I finally went to apply for a credit card after 3 months of working =) Applied for the UOB Lady's Card! UOB really offers the best credit cards around! What's more, as a UOB staff, the annual credit card fee of $60 for the Lady's Card is waived! For normal card holders, usually only the 1st year fee is waived. Hehe! So happie! The Lady's card really offers a lot of yummilicious privileges women can ask for. Itz cool. One of my personal favourites is that i can go for a strawberry spa mani and pedi at 20% discount. Plus other normal/french mani and pedi at special discounted rates at places like Fave Nails and Nails Couture. I also get twice monthly free accesses to Amore's (though im alry a member) and California Fitness' gyms plus free fitness classes! In addition, the Lady's Card offers priority entry and discounts on your total bill at certain clubs! How cool is that! Such a wonderful card for a super vain clubbing girl like me.

Think i might apply for the UOB MTV card too in the near future bcoz I stand to gain more clubbing privileges at much more clubs (e.g. priority entry, free covers, discounts on drinks, free entry for guests etc) and prioity bookings at concerts. I sound very sua ku right? I only find out about such stuff after so long altho i've been working at UOB. Well, cant blame me, coz im in the Commercial Credit sector mah. I shud educate myself more man. So lose-face, work in UOB yet dunno much about the Personal Financial Services' stuff. Freak...sua ku ass...=/

I love being a UOB staff coz of their wonderful staff banking perks! As a UOB staff, i get to earn 0.5% more interest rate on my UOB savings account than the normal rate. Gosh, i better try my best not to leave the bank...unless of coz i can find smthg way better elsewhere. Anyway i really enjoy my job, so not much issue here...unless i get fired or smthg..haha!

(Hmm...this entry sounds like an advertisement/testimonial for UOB Credit Cards. Shucks...)

Anyway i plan to work really hard to get rich faster. Den i can have more money to buy lotz n lotz of pretty clothes, bags, shoes, make-up etc (yeah materialistic ger). I also wanna have money to go travelling, support my parents n bro, get married (a lavish wedding!), support my hubby, buy a house n a car, n have lovely kids. Yay! Dream come true!

Bed and Bubbles

The past two weeks was a sad period for me. I was super busy at work and everyday was a stressful and hectic day. But wat made me realli sad was that we are going to have a customer event (cant reveal exactly wat it is for fear of competitors!) that will be from 7pm till 11pm which i will be organizing...and it falls on my birthday. I was realli upset coz i couldnt celebrate my birthday and Baby alry made plans for me. Wonderful and very special plans. Can u imagine me working my ass off for this dumb event that falls on my bday? N on my bday i have to work from the usual 9am - 630pm and den continue working at my customer event for 500 pax till late? I prolly end up with only one hour of my bday left to celebrate. And for once, i thot with my Baby's plans, my bday will finally be a very special and genuinely happie princess-y one.

But things took a twist of fate and left me slightly more convinced im not such a jinxed birthday girl afterall. (I always thot that im a jinxed birthday girl coz every year without fail, something bad will happen on my bday that always leaves me in tears somehow.) The customer event is now postponed to early next year after i gave my suggestion during a team meeting that it is not advisable to hold an outdoor event during the monsoon season. I din suggest it because i wanted to celebrate my bday. Thatz childish. But the outcome and success of the event is very impt to me as it will affect not only the mood of everyone but also my performance appraisal! N im so so happie that my boss actually sat there and listened to what i had to say. I have been trying to voice it out for the past two weeks but my boss doesnt seem to wanna give any attention to me.

So now Baby can execute his bday plans for me! YAY! So guess what we are going to do? Baby already made reservation for a super sweet and romantic Bed and Bubbles Package atRitz Carlton Hotel! Check this out:

~Guest enjoy deluxe accommodations and a soothing butler drawn bath in one of the "World's Sexiest Bathrooms."~

  • Soothing butler-drawn Honeymoon bath, enhanced with Tuxedo strawberries with cream, champagne, roses and therapeutic oils

  • The Bed and Bubbles Package is available with the following rate options: $450 SGD Deluxe Kallang Bay View Room (Additional nights at $338 SGD); $480 SGD Deluxe Marina Bay View Room (Additional nights at $368 SGD)

Cool huh cool huh? Baby and I can take a nice nice rose petals filled bubble bath overlooking the night skyline of Marina Bay and enjoy strawberries with champagne! Wow Wow! (Oopsie...i think i can see my office building from there. You can never miss the UOB Plaza skyscraper man.) N i will be inviting some of my closest frens over for dinner and cake! Yay!

On top of that, i juz found out yesterday that this very good guy fren of mine actually bought me the most expensive tickets to the 5566 concert in S'pore in dec! He said itz a bday gift to me. So happie!

Anyway dear frens, if u thinking of getting me gifts for my bday....i think im too old for that. Well, instead of gifts, i would appreciate ang baos and vouchers more. Haha! Anyway i am aiming to buy this Gucci bag that costs around $1200. So if u have no idea wat to get me, yet u realli wanna get me smthg, mebbe u can chip in the funds for my Gucci bag...hehe! Juz a suggestion. Of coz i will love anything u guys give me coz itz the thought that counts! Passe but true!

Yay Yay...I love November.

It suddenly dawned on me...

It juz hit me that i lost my "life". No more Little Miss Happening. Dun ask me wat happened. All i noe is that I have been working everyday and I have no f**king life at all. Im usually too tired after work, and my bio-clock has been adjusted to shut down latest by 1230am every night. Havent been clubbing, havent been hanging out with friends. Think my closest fren now is my dear candy. Been seeing her like at least twice a week for some salsa fun or shopping madness. *love ya cands!* Think the most "happening" thing im doing right now is dancing salsa. Fell sick and was on mc for two days this week. That means no late nights and partying, no binging on sinful, yummy food. *sobz*

Watz worse is...i became FATter. The once almost gone cellulite are back to haunt me again. Tummy has began to bulge. To my dismay, I realized it too late! Small little pimples (dunno if u can classify them as acne) suddenly pop out from nowhere! I seldom have pimples! Piling on foundation and concealer doesnt seem to help esp since i always critically scrutinise myself. N little freckles seem to be appearing on my face! Gosh! It never happened before! Seriously, im so fat and ugly now i think itz the end of the world. *yelps!*

Thatz it! Im gg to dance my fats away, and exercise to tone up those legs and tummy! Im gonna pile on pore minimiser, spot reducer creams and watever beauty products that seem promising. Plus face masks!

Oh..n juz to share, i custom-made my salsa dance shoes. They are heels with suede soles that freaking costed me almost $160. How am I gg to buy my thousand-over-dollars Gucci bag now? *faintz* No money...no money =(

Juz to cheer up my day, Baby's msn nick:
"You know you are in love when you see the world in her eyes, and her eyes everywhere in the world."

Whoppie! I am his "HER". hehe...gosh i think im gg bonkers.

What am i doing tonight? Salsa.
What am i doing tomorrow? Salsa. again.
What am i doing on Sunday? I better go to church.
I need to pray about my fats, pimples, cash flow problems and my dull life.
Gotta get my pretty life back!

Lessons of Love

Im sick ond body's in a wreck today. Got so bad that Doc gave me two days mc for today and tmr. (Yay! Secretly happie coz i dun have to work!). Brain's a little lethargic so not really in the mood to think of wat to blog about. But anyway here's a little smthg that i read and found it quite meaningful. So juz to share...enjoy:

Lessons Of Love
A ninety-one year old woman died after living a long dignified life. When she met God she asked him something that had long bothered her. If Man was created in God's image, and if all men are created equal, why do people treat each other so badly?

God replied that each person who enters our life has a unique lesson to teach us. And it is only through these lessons that we learn about life, people, relationships and God. This confused the woman, so God began to explain.

When someone lies to you, it teaches you that things are not always as they seem. The truth is often far beneath the surface. Look beyond the masks people wear if you want to know their heart. And remove your own masks to let people know yours.

When someone steals from you, it teaches you that nothing is forever. Always appreciate what you have, for you never know when you might lose it. And never, ever take your friends and family for granted because today is the only guarantee you have.

When someone inflicts an injury upon you, it teaches you that the human state is a fragile one. Protect and take care of your body as best you can, it's the only thing you are sure to have forever.

When someone mocks you, it teaches you that no two people are alike. When you encounter people who are different from you, don't judge them by how they look or act; instead base your opinion on the contents of their heart.

When someone breaks your heart, it teaches you that loving someone does not always mean that person will love you back. But don't turn your back on love because when you find the right person, the joy that one person brings will make up for all the past hurts put together. Times ten.

When someone holds a grudge against you, it teaches you that everyone makes mistakes. When you are wronged, the most virtuous thing you can do is forgive the offender without pretense. Forgiving those who have hurt us is the most difficult and courageous thing Man can do.

When a loved one is unfaithful to you, it teaches you that resisting temptation is Man's greatest challenge. Be vigilant in your resistance against all temptation. By doing so you will be rewarded with an enduring sense of satisfaction far greater than the temporary pleasure by which you were tempted.

When someone cheats you, it teaches you that greed is the root of all evil. Aspire to make your dreams come true, no matter how lofty they may be. Do not feel guilty about your success, but never let an obsession with achieving your goals lead you to engage in malevolent activities.

When someone ridicules you, it teaches you that nobody is perfect. Accept people for their merits and be tolerant of their flaws. Do not ever reject someone for imperfections over which they have no control.

Upon hearing the Lord's wisdom, the old woman became concerned that there were no lessons to be learned from Man's good deeds.

God replied that Man's capacity to love is the greatest gift he has. At the root of all kindness is love, and each act of love also teaches us a lesson. The woman's curiosity deepening, God once again began to explain.

When someone loves us, it teaches us that love, kindness, charity, honesty, humility, forgiveness and acceptance can counteract all the evil in the world.
For every good deed, there is one less evil deed.
Man alone has the power to control the balance between good and evil, but because the lessons of love are not taught often enough, the power is too often abused.

When you enter someone's life, whether by plan, chance or coincidence, consider what your lesson will be. Will you teach love or a harsh lesson of reality?
When you die will your life have resulted in more loving or hurting?
More comfort or pain?
More joy or sadness?
Each one of us has power over the balance of love in the world.
Use it wisely.

Don't miss an opportunity to nudge the world's scale in the right direction.

Shopping Madness at Isetan Members' Sale

Im a horribly broke girl who has spent most of her pay in juz 2 weeks! Yesterday was Isetan's one-day-only exclusive Members' Sale. Miss Candy and Miss Fiona happily went to shop during their lunch time. The shopping queen n shopping princess shopped for 2 hrs till they did not have their lunch, and went back to the office way past their lunch time. Poor Miss Candy cudnt get her pretty Nine West shoes and Polo Jeans cashmere sweater bcoz they were not available in her size. Poor Miss Fiona had a long cut on her left knee, being squashed by a fat lady behind her at a shoe section, n grazing her knee across a sharp corner of a shoe rack. Poor Miss Fiona bled in pain. But! That did not deter her from squirming her way thru the crowd to try to find anything good n pretty that she can lay her itchy hands on. The two shopping maniacs are nonetheless happie altho they did not manage to hit their satiable appetite level for a good amount of buys and bargains, in midst of having to squeeze thru the crowd and fumble thru the heaps of clothes.

Miss Candy and Miss Fiona met again for more shopping after work, plus dinner after the shops close. To meet twice in a day during lunch n dinner time, it seems like they cant get enuff of each other. But! They aint no lesbians. The two gers juz enjoy each others' company tremendously. N they juz cant get enuff of shopping.

Mr Nic came to meet the two sistas for dinner, and w a budget constaint, they ate at MOS burger. But wat a FUN time they had at MOS burger! Mr Nic and Miss Candy were so entertained by Miss Fiona's eating antics of talking excitedly with her mouth full and spewing bitz of food in the wrong directions. It was such a comfortable and interesting chit-chatting session that they engaged in for 2.5 hrs. Happiness can be derived from such gleeful simplicity.

Miss Fiona is realli happie that her dear Miss Candy could always get along so well with her bfs, yet will always be by her side and diss the ex-bf when they break-up. If there's one thing that Miss Fiona realli treasure, itz for her good frens n her bf to be with her, and that her bf can mingle comfortably with her frens and vice-versa, in a way that everyone she loves is part of one big happie group. Same goes with the Swing Girls. Miss Fiona is so happie when her dearez Swing Girls said that they treat Mr Nic as one of their silly jie-meis. Realli hope that her dearest IJ sistas can accept him in the same way as well.

To round it up, Miss Fiona bought yet another pair of shoes, yet another piece of lingerie (cant get enuff of these two items!), and a few tops for work and play. N she has alry bought a few expensive suits the last week! PLUS! She is a GLUTTON with such an expensive n fussy taste in food, and efficient digestive system that leaves her tummy rumbling every 3 hrs. She is officially broke! Someone please donate to the needy. Hahahaha!

A stream of sad sad tears

Today is a horrible, terrible, moody, nothing-ever-goes-right, why-is everything so wrong, day. Woke up feeling pleased coz I slept so so long n so so well. But shortly after, everything juz went BAD. Everyone in my family was in a bad mood. Even my gadgets screw up n fail on me. Frustrated me gets even more pek chek being yelled at. My driving sucks after such a long break from it. Clutching the steering wheel so tight with my heart banging against my chest as i brace the yelling n complaints frm my impatient dad sitting next to me. Flashes of my past accident kept haunting me until today. Read something on my bf's ex-gf's blog that hurt me so. Seems like she might not have totally gotten past her break-up with him. Insecurities creep up on me once again as memories of my past r/s reminded me that guys cant be trusted. It doesnt help much that she called him twice two days ago. Sunday is the day meant for me to relax b4 the start of a new week of work. But why do i feel more stressed out on a sunday?

Went to the hospital to visit my sick aunt albeit in a very very bad mood. Totally upset. One more thing that goes wrong can totally wreck it n make me burst into tears of frustration and despair. And it came. From someone i least expected. Someone whom i wished wud be there next to me in my midst of despair. Someone i thot wud make everything alright again. Someone i thot i cud count on to bring me the smiles and the rainbow after the rain. I thot wrong.

Mebbe i complained too much. Mebbe i was too much of a spoilt princess for anyone to handle. Mebbe my temper was juz too bad n out of control. But i was really very upset. Am i to blame? How could i control my temper when im alry driven to the edge? But now I know. You made me realize that I cant vent it out on you anymore. Not when the person i thot i cud complain to and vent my frustrations on suddenly lost his patience. For someone always so sweet, mild-tempered and patient, he suddenly lost all his patience for me. For the FIRST time. The sms he sent me was a SLAP to my face. A STAB in my heart. The trigger to my tears.

Uncontrollably as I stared at his sms, hot tears started streaming down as I hurriedly left my relatives and parents at my aunt's hospital bed. Looks of curiosity dawned upon me as I desperately tried to find a washroom where i can hide myself in. These onlookers prolly thot someone juz died since i was at the hospital. N there I was squatting pathetically on the toilet floor, locked in the cubicle for the longest time. Sobbing and sobbing, my arms were drench with warm tears as his harsh, sarcastic words kept running thru my mind and pricking my heart over and over again. At that point in time, i was so tempted to juz dunk my head into the toilet bowl next to me. Nothing could be worse than having the person u love most, the person u thot u can truly count on and turn to, to turn his back on you. I knew i was being difficult, hot-tempered and spoilt. But he didnt have to be so mean. All i wanted is for him to comfort me, the way he always do. Mebbe i pushed it too far. Mebbe i shud juz shut up and stop complaining all the time. I knew that someday and one day he will eventually lose all his patience and flare up at me. I juz din expect it to be so soon. I have reached my ultimate abyss for the day. Nothing could make me more upset than i alry was. This is the FIRST time ever that he made me feel so hurt, the first time he made me cry so hard, the first time he lost his patience at me, the first time he ignored me thereafter. N for all you know, there might be more of such instances to come.

I remembered him saying that he will try his best not to hurt me or lose his patience at me. Is it a lie den? Den again, when do guys ever keep to their words? As far as i can rem, all my ex-bfs nvr keep to their words for long. It was all said and meant "for that moment in time". Wat makes him any different?

These tears brought back such familiar feelings. My thots drifted to my present outlook and attitude towards relationships and how much it has changed from the past. I looked into my heart and i saw a very ugly scar. The deep and ugly scar that my ex left me with. The damage done was far beyond repair. Up till today, whenever i think about it, the hurt still burns inside me. Who could i blame? I was the stupid one. I allowed him to inflict such wounds upon me. I willingly allowed him to trample on me. I brought it upon myself bcoz i was stupid. There are some wounds that are too deep to heal...and some things that even time cannot mend. Unwittingly, i brought the past hurts into my present r/s with Nic. Im no longer the carefree and happie-go-lucky girl i once was. The girl who was so confident of herself. The girl who could love and trust with all her heart like she will nvr be hurt, like there is no tommorrow. I have raised my expectations and my level of caution, n lowered my level trust. Poor Nic. As hard as i try, I still bring with me such paranoia and insecurities that are the repercussions of my ugly scar.

You may ask...with all these doubts...do i still wanna marry him den?...My answer is yes. why? I dunno.

Thumpering again

Went thumpering at Thumper yesterday! Itz my Fave club! Been a long time, almost 3 mths, since i last went. After my Swing Girls ditched our plans to go out, luckily my dear Mr. Lim Chuan Seng asked me to go with him n his frens. If not, i will be so bored on a friday night! As a working adult, fridays n weekends are so so precious to unwind and have fun!

Thumper is a cool place to chill and club ur night away. I strongly reccommend it. They play mostly realli nice RnB music, plus a bit of pop n contemporary hits n a little bit of retro. Plus they have a realli good live band that comes on every other half an hour. Itz also the place to see and be seen. Mostly yuppies, working class ppl and some expats/foreigners. Pretty exclusive place. No ah bengs and ah lians and 18 yr-old kids! Age Limit is 23 for ladies and 28 for guys. But seriously, as long as u dress well, u will get in. They dun check IDs. But unless of coz if there is a long queue n the club is super packed, they might be a bit more selective on who gets in. So my advice is if u wanna get to Thumper, go early! It is usually packed by 10pm on fridays. I lurve Thumper! Im a Thumpering Thumperian at Thumper! Wahahahah!

FYI: Thumper is located at Goodwood Park Hotel.

My bf is a Fire Fighter

My Baby has been on reservist since Monday 19th Sept. This week has been the most boring week for me. A melancholic week of Blues. Cant wait till Monday 26th Sept when he comes back from his dumb stay-in camp. Why must men stay-in when they go for reservist? Why some no need? Why does my Baby need to? NOT fair. =( *sulks*

But im so proud of my Baby coz he is in Civil Defence! Means he not only does fire-fighting, but he also saves people's lives! He was part of the rescue squad during the Nicoll Highway incident last year. Can u imagine? My Baby is a HERO. Wahahha! He had to try to save n extricate ppl, no matter dead or alive. He even had to carry dead bodies out of the wreckage. How scary!! He risked his life saving ppl when the soil underneath is still unstable n may cause further aggravation. My Baby is so brave! There he is, all part of the exciting action and dangerous rescue work that took place at Nicoll HIghway.

And like all firemen, Baby actually has to SLIDE down the POLE when the fire alarm rings n jump on the fire-engine to go save ppl. Oh n he is the driver of the fire-engine! How cool is that! I can imagine my Baby sliding down that POLE...wah! So sexy. I think firemen r so so HOT! N I think it's such a turn-on if i actually do see him slide down that pole...hiakz!

Imagine, in times of war, those NSmen will be fighting at the frontline, shooting n killing people, throwing grenades n bombing each other senseless. But there my Baby is, at the backline rescuing people, saving victims and putting out fire. Woah...thatz what i call a true hero. A hero isnt one who kills his enemies but one who saves lives. I've got a hero as a bf! Yay!

But if there is realli war one day, I'll be the first to grab my Baby and RUN. Yeah screw all those patroticism n heroic bullshit. All i want is to spend a simple n fulfilling life w Baby. So all these reservist training is useless for my Baby, I cant wait till he comes home to me.

Rich Girl, Poor Girl

Shopping in S'pore is indeed expensive. In S'pore, i dun realli like to go for sales and cheap stuff. Coz stuff on sale are usually either leftovers that people dun wanna buy, clothes that are out-of-season, with defects, or in odd sizes. Whatever it is, im always suspicious of sales in S'pore. Unless it's something that is on sale but yet not dirt cheap. Or during the Great Singapore Sale. Den more likely it's worth the buy.

Somehow whenever i stumble across smthg that i like, i always pray hard that it will be cheap or at least meet my estimated expectation. But somehow, it almost never work out that way. Things that i like happen to turn out to be expensive. I dun think itz coz i have expensive taste...but more becoz..i have such a soft spot for very pretty stuff! Embroidery, lace, ruffles, flowers, butterflies, sequins....which all works out to be expensive. Plus all those pretty shoes that come in so many different designs that always put me in dilemmas! =( *sobz* I feel like such a poor girl.

BUT! When im in Bangkok and esp Hongkong ( I can hear Jialing and Elizabeth sigh and say "Here she goes again. Ask Nicholas to buy her a piece of land there"), I feel like a Shopping Princess! So many pretty yet CHEAP stuff! I'll juz take and buy, and buy and buy. Dun need to think so long. I guess over there they do not thrive on high margins but instead whip in on the volume. I feel so so rich!

Anyway, i finally got my hair cut. Well...trimmed. Went to Supercuts to try try since i heard itz not bad. Had to do so coz my dear Kimage stylist is relocated to Jurong (freaking far), and Kimage at PS is now Kimage Prestige..and poor me...cant afford it anymore. N neither do i trust the ppl frm other outlets esp the one at funan. Well, the hair cut at Supercuts turned out pretty good i must say. Shampoo girl is super helpful and kept trying to give me lotsa hair tips. Stylist was professional and good. All except the dumb cashier/receptionist who spoke poor english (ah lian pattern one), n dun seem to understand half the words im saying. Have to keep repeating myself. So irritating! N u all noe how bad my mandarin is. And they charge $36...more ex than Kimage! But overall still quite good lah. =) *relatively satisfied customer*

Going for my 2nd Salsa class tmr! I love salsa! Itz so so fun! Finally get to learn it since my ex-bf used to forbid me from learning. After Level 1, im going o to Level 2 den to Advance! And up next, im gonna take up Exotic dance and Rumba. I love dancing!

Realize that itz been a long time since i posted pictures. So here are some taken recently!

Herez Baby n me before going for dinner and meeting my dear Swing gers plus Candy and Yimei to club at Momo.

Obsessed lesbo-s. We love each other to bitz!

The Perfect Catch

Baby n I went to watch "The Perfect Catch" yesterday night. It's a realli good and heart-warming show. Everytime the male lead does smthg so sweet n unexpected for the girl, i juz cant help looking at my Baby next to me n thinking how equally sweet he is. N there he was hugging me n watching the movie with a smile on his face, making me think to myself how lucky I am to have him n how blissfully in love im w him.

I was a happie happie girl last night, all thanx to Baby. We were shopping when we walked into GG>5, where they had an end-of-season sale. I was scouring for THE dress, the dress tt i was eyeing for 2 mths alry, n how hard i was hoping it wud be on sale. N there it was on the racks! But it was on the rack with the least discount...only 30% discount, when everything else was 50% off. I consoled myself tt i at least it din cost $104 anymore, but $73. Den again, i was flat broke. So i took my chance n asked Baby if he wud like to buy it for me since itz on sale. He asked me wat size i wear, Xs or S, n upon my im-not-sure-but-I-can-go-try answer, he hesitated for the longest time n i was so peeved coz i thot he was so reluctant to buy it for me. But it turned out somewhat differently. Apparently he hesitated coz he alry had plans to get it for me as he had juz gotten his pay. But it was meant to be a SURPRISE. N he was pretty sure i wore XS until i said that im not sure wat size i wear, cud be S. So he wavered. N ttz why he hesitated in the shop coz silly Baby was wondering wat he shud do now tt he might not be able to surprise me, n tt he might get the dress in the wrong size. So after all the hoo-ha n explaining to me, i was so so happie n dragged him to another GG>5 branch at paragon to try n buy the dress. N yepz! He bought it for me since it was on sale n the sale ends today! N ttz how i ended up as the girl who din stop smiling the whole night. So easy to please right? I was pleased not only bcoz he bought for me the dress tt i wanted so much, but also bcoz i cant believe he was so sweet to even have the intention to buy it for me as a surprise.

The other sweet thing he did was, upon meeting Jolin (tt silly ger who was gg clubbing) n entering a shop tt played wonderful RnB music which stirred up the clubbing temptations in me, followed by chancing upon Elizabeth n her bf where we were contemplating if we shud go club w Jolin n surprise her, he actually suggested giving up our paid-for movie tickets n bringing me to club w my frens instead. N nope, he isnt rich at all. All he wanted was for me to be happie, enjoy myself n do the things i like, even if it means spending unneccessary money. I was awed by his selfless-ness n thoughtfulness. He is always wanting the best for me, n i remed clearly how he once said tt he wud try his best give me everything i want as long as itz within his means. There's nothing in this world he wudnt do to ensure my happiness. (He even lets me go out w some of my guy frens even though he doesnt know them at all, albeit reluctantly n with feelings of insecurity n discomfort). Undeniably, he's the sweetest guy i ever had.

Throughout the movie, i was simply smiling n smiling. I cud relate to every sweet moment in the movie, n i kept thinking to myself how much i love this guy who is sitting next to me. I din care wat some ppl or some of my frens might think. So wat if he is the same age as me? Ppl think tt guys our age are still not matured enuff n itz better to date guys who are older. I beg to differ. So wat if he is diploma holder n not a graduate like me? I dun need someone who is so-called smarter than me, i dun need a guy who is tall dark n handsome w a good bod. I dun need someone who has all the riches. What i need is someone who is humble, thoughtful n selfless. Someone who is COMMITTED to me wholeheartedly, who LOVEs me deeply, n is true to me. Someone who genuinely cares about me, who always want me to be his happie little princess. Someone who wants to strive hard in whatever he does so that he can provide for me. Someone who holds no pretense, who exhibits his true self to me juz the way he is. Someone who loves me more than anything else in the world. Priceless.

Who else would sing to me every night without fail before i go to sleep, when i was sick and out for 2 weeks? Who else will always look n stare at me for no reason at all, n think that im the cutest n most beautiful ger in the world, altho there are so many other prettier girls strutting on the streets? Who else will have that special twinkle in his eyes when he smiles at me n tell me how much he loves me n how lucky he feels to have me...n there i was feeling the exact same way? Who else can make me feel so happie juz lying next to him n breathing the same air together? Who else can have the sweetest dreams juz by having me in his arms as he sleeps? In his loving embrace, nothing else can touch me. Nothing else even comes close.

N im glad to say tt, unbelievably n miraculously, i have found that special someone. It set me thinking n now I believe tt maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong ppl, before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to appreciate, treasure n be grateful. Altho the times we spent together may be a short n mere 4 mths, it isnt juz a honeymoon period to us. We had our fair share of quarrels n discontentment, our ups and downs, our stormy weathers. Yet when u meet THE ONE, i believe that u will somehow juz know it. N itz realli how u not allow ur grey skies to cloud the wonderful moments shared, n how u work hard to bring ur love to the next level, to rise above the storms, n not let ur differences come in between. To me, his love is brighter than sunshine. I can truly say that i have found my soul mate. With every little thing he does for me, im juz so amazed...n so so lucky.

I have said to him before, a lifetime with u isnt enuff...i want to spend eternity with u. Bcoz u make me feel like there is nothing as wonderful as the love u have given me. U r God's gift to me. N itz the best gift i ever had. The most precious.

I have found...My Perfect Catch.

I finally saw a cute guy

Yes! I finally saw a cute n very good-looking guy in my office today. N he can speak very well too! I appreciate guys who can articulate well in fluent English. Anyway, this guy came up to me to talk to me bcoz he cudnt find my supervisor. He left his name and contact number behind.

Apparently his name is Joel, n he is working as a temp staff in UOB for this one-month project (they hired like 20 grads for this temp job). In case my dear frens are wondering...no, i did not keep his number, but instead dutifully passed it to my supervisor. Of coz i will not do that bcoz, altho he is cute, im fiercely loyal to my darling Baby.

Anyway, being the super kaypoh me, i went to question my supervisor. Lo and behold! That guy Joel, is the new guy that my department wants to hire! BUT! Sadly, the request for the quota/head count (to add an additional staff to the department) has not been approved by HR. So in the end, he might not be hired afterall. N my supervisor was saying that the reason why he is looking for her might be that he is hired by DBS alry n he decided to go over. Also, he is an overseas grad! No wonder he speaks so well! He was from a poly b4 he went overseas to pursue a degree.

In any case...sad for me coz i was hoping i'll have someone as new as myself as a companion and someone who is closer to my age as a colleague n working partner. N of coz, it'll be a bonus if he is an eye-candy...coz there is hardly any eye-candies ard. Oh well...too bad den. N i prolly wun see him ever again coz i think today is the last day for the temp staffs.

~Baby if u r reading this, dun be jealous k? U noe me well enuff to know wat i mean. U noe how i feel for you... *winks*~

Msg to my unfrenly anonymous readers

Woah...looks like my blog has the potential to turn into a battlefield in the comments section huh? *lolz* Oh well, so herez an entry specially to the anonymous readers who left somewhat unfrenly comments.

First and foremost, i do acknowledge ur comments. I apologize for my frens' agitated responses. But i guess ppl who r ur frens, will jump almost immediately at a gd fren's defense upon receiving negative and subjective comments. Anyway, whatever it is, i hope to put a closure on this issue b4 my blog turns into a ground for senseless rambling. Yes i did say that itz a free space. But i wud like to emphasize that itz MY free space..not yours. I definitely welcome comments...but not negative n unfrenly ones from people i dun know. Afterall, u dunno me, so who r u to judge me? But i Do welcome all sorts of comments from my dear frens...even if they r negative coz true frens w negative opinions are the ones with constructive criticisms.

As I said before, i will delete comments which r not welcomed/appreciated in MY blog...n i WILL do juz that...upon reviewing that such ramblings will go on and on, and vandalize my blog. For your information, yes i do think highly of myself. I also think that Im a beautiful person. But i have substantial grounds to believe in myself, which i will not bother to spell it out here since there isnt a need to prove myself. In addition, I also think very highly of my frens and I happen to think that they are all very beautiful people too. So I think that nobody shud disrespect my frens n insult their comments on my blog too. N in response to one of the comments made, yes i do value how i look.

So pls kindly keep your comments to yourself. Bcoz posting such comments will only invite more criticism n negativity, and will simply render urself to be immature, mean, possibly jealous, and portray u as a very UGLY person with nothing better to do. I dun care if u think im watever, n neither do i care if u talk n gossip behind my back. But pls do it behind my back coz publishing ur negativity on MY GROUNDS will only invite trouble, not only from me but oso from my darling frens. N as a working adult with a lot more better things to do, i realli dun have time to keep entertaining all these nonsense.

In any case, thank you for being such ardent readers, esp the person who posted the comment that he/she has been following up n reading my blog. Din noe my blog is of such interest to you. I welcome u to continue reading my blog. But please do kindly refrain from vandalizing it. N i hereby hope to put a closure on all these nonsense. Much appreciated, Thankz! =)

Swing Girls' Week n 1st week of work

Itz great meeting up with the Swing Girls twice this week! KTV on tues and shopping outing on sat. So sorrie gers that i have to leave early on Tues' ktv but im glad u gers enjoyed urselves! Sat was fun. I bought three pairs of shoes! Madness! n Im so so broke now. Dun worry Jolin! Im on par w u now for buying so many pairs of shoes at one go!

Went Wala Wala after that to chill n listen to their live band. Seriously, that ger on lead vocals can realli sing! She's realli good...why dun she wanna join S'pore Idol? Only thing tt realli bored me was when they start singing some weird, obscure, out-of-this-world songs.

Anyway as a lot of ppl are asking me how'z my first week of work, i shall update here. As expected, itz a boring boring slacko week. Basically i have nothing much to do except attend some meetings (which r pretty interesting but i always get lost in the middle of it coz i have no idea wat those banking ppl r tokking abt esp with all those banking lingo!), n learn some stuff from my colleagues as they work, and to read some credit manual (which is lengthy n super boring. I feel like im back in sch again!). The most interesting thing i've done this week is the breakfast seminar we had at meritus mandarin on thurs morning for introducing a new product, called the Structural Investment Product. It was pretty cool coz at least im doing some events stuff. Yeah but probably not as fun as the events me n some of the swing girls did on attachment at CAAS. Realli miss those days!

Heard that my boss is gg to hire another fresh grad as new staff, n they want a guy. Sounds like good news to me coz at least there'll be someone who is ard the same age as me there! Coz im the youngest, and the only female tt is not married among all my colleagues. Everyone else is married n most with kids except for me n this guy who is alry in his thirties. N seriously, sometimes i feel that there is an age gap betw me n my colleagues. realli different frequency man. I hope i dun turn into an auntie after working there for long n hanging out w them. Wahaha!

Recently, there have been some anonymous ppl leaving comments on my blog. Not very nice ones. But well, to these new anonymous readers: Welcome to my blog! A space that belongs to ME. So if u wanna leave negative comments, pls kindly refrain from doing so coz i wud end up deleting them. N to those ppl who cant stand me: Stop reading my blog den. Why r u torturing urself? Im pretty amused by these ppl though...those who r not brave enuff to leave their names behind. Oh well, in any case...this is my life n i will blog watever i want whether u ppl like it or not. N i dun give a damn wat u think. Coz im happie n satisfied with my life n wat i have. If u dun like it, den dun read. Simple as that.

Project Superstar

Congrats to Kelly n Weilian! Read Elizabeth's blog...n oops! my opinions r juz the opposite of hers. I support Xinhui n Weilain actually. But i oso seriously thot Junyang was gg to win.

Actually i was pretty neutral towards both Weilian n Junyang...mebbe leaning slightly more towards Weilian. But Junyang totally spoilt his chances w my vote bcoz he sang my fave David Tao's song..n screwed it up so BADLY...i found it unbearable to listen to him sing. Even the English song that he sang...i wanted to vomit blood coz he cant pronounce English words properly! Diction n enounciation all wrong! N i absolutely cant stand ppl who sing English songs with a Chinese accent! Turns me off big time. However i have give him credit for his last song which he delivered it much better than Weilian. It was his only saving grace to getting my vote.

Whereas Weilian, he realli touched my heart w his English song "Heaven Knows". he sang it properly without the weird Chinese accent n could pronouce all the words correctly. N i think he sang it w a lot of feelings. He not onli touched my heart but also he many others in the audience who stood up applauding. It was a good rendition. He won my vote. I realli supported him not bcoz he was blind. But the fact that he had an undaunting spirit which realli touched my heart. N I seriously do like his voice better coz i felt that it was better controlled than Junyang. Sometimes Junyang cant control his high notes well n u can see that he is kinda straining to reach them. N i cant stand his goofy face..wahaha!

As for Kelly n Xinhui, i prefer Xinhui coz she appeals to me more. They r both equally good. But i prefer Xinhui's voice, coz i like her huskier n sexier voice. N overall, I oso liked her style better although sometimes wat she wears is realli OFF. Haha! But oh well, i guess Kelly had more audience appeal.

Anyway wat realli made me peeved was Quan Yifeng. She wore the dress that i wanted to buy one month ago! N i was so in love w that dress from BCBG MaxMara! Check this pic out. I tried on the dress at Taka's BCBG MaxMara.

Same dress right?!! This dress is realli expensive. It costs a whopping $499! N Quan Yifeng had to wear it. Im so jealous! Now tt she has worn it on national TV...i cant buy it anymore even if i have the money. Coz den everyone will say that I copy her...when the fact is that...i stumbled across it first! Haiz....childish aint I? But ttz juz the way I am when it comes to clothes tt i like! Hmpf!

I've got a job!

I got a job as a Senior Officer at UOB Commercial Credit Division, doing Global Business and Product Development! YAY! After the final interview on Monday (see my entry on 'Weird Interview'), the HR personnel called me yesterday to offer me the position! (juz one day after the interview! so fast hor? Think they scared i kena poached by Borneo Motors, so make first move on me. haha! Ego-booster man). N guess how much they r paying me??!! I dunno if i can disclose it here but oh well...wat the heck. They r paying me $2400 every mth with 21 days leave n 30 days MC! N on top of the 13-mth bonus, they also got a yearly perfomance bonus every April n a yearly appraisal bonus! Wow! Good deal eh? Im so surprised tt they r paying me higher than my $2.2k expectation.

So now, on Thursday, Im supposed to go down to UOB Plaza at Raffles Place which will be my future working place (wah! wat a big building!), to sign the Letter of Offer n go for medical check-up.

But den....im thinking about my Borneo Motors. They have yet to contact me regarding the outcome of the 4th round interview. After this 4th round interview, the final 2 will be selected out of the 4 to meet the managing director, which means u r more or less confirm to be hired, altho it is considered the 5th n final round.

N im so scared...wat if im the final 2 selected...but UOB approached me with the offer first? Den i alry signed on w UOB? Wat abt Borneo Motors? Altho my interest is geared slightly more towards Borneo Motors coz i simply LOVE cars, but i noe tt UOB can pay me more n offer me better career advancements. Bcoz i also heard tt Borneo Motors dun pay as high a starting salary to their managment trainee as wat UOB offered me .This is making me so confused actually. N obviously my dad prefers me to work in a bank. The best way now is for Borneo Motors to reject me...den i wun have dilemma liao. But prob is they havent contact me n im gg to sign the Letter of Offer with UOB tmr! Argh! Im gg a lil' mad.

N if i do start work, I'll be starting work next monday, 22nd August. Itz driving me into a frenzy actually. Coz suddenly, i realized the limited time i have left to slack n play n do wat working adults cant do. Suddenly I feel very stressed to step out into the workforce. Itz gonna be hard work all the way obviously since they r paying me pretty much. N i needa shop for working clothes! I've limited supply! I looked thru my whole super-packed-w-clothes wardrobe, i cant find anything much coz most of my clothes r for going out! Stress factor increasing! Im a very fussy girl. I MUST look good n professional.

As much as im so glad my job hunt is over for now n I finally gotten a nice n good paying job, i still wanna slack n play n relax abit more. Haiz, ppl r always nvr satisfied n so hard to please. Goodbye my holiday....Hello working world.

Matchmaking Personality Test

Eliz, Ade n Jialing all did this test on their blogs! I also wanna do! (I damn copycat rite? hehe. But muz complete the Swing Girls' results mah). Matchmaking Personality test. Herez the results!

I am the...

The Maid of Honor
Deliberate. Gentle. Love. Master. (DGLMf)

Deliberate: (as opposed to Random) Make decisions Carefully, Is aware of, and weighs consequences. Takes time to think things through

Gentle: (as opposed to Brutal) Kind, considerate. Less selfish then average. Cares about the happiness of nearby people

Love: (as opposed to Sex) Love is the subject's primary motivation

Master: (as opposed to Dreamer) Seasoned. Refined. Possessing perspective and thorough knowledge

Appreciated for your kindness and envied for all your experience, you are The Maid of Honor.

Charismatic, affectionate, and terrific in relationships, you are what many guys would call a "perfect catch"--and you probably have many admirers, each wishing to capture your long-term love. You're careful, extra careful, because the last thing you want is to hurt anyone. Especially some poor boy whose only crime was liking you.

We've deduced you're fully capable of a dirty fling, but you do feel that post-coital attachment after hooking up. So, conscientious person that you are, you do your best to reserve physical affection for those you respect...so you can respect yourself.

Your biggest negative is the byproduct of your careful nature: indecision. You're just as slow rejecting someone as you are accepting them.

ALWAYS AVOID: The False Messiah, The 5-Night Stand, The Vapor Trail, The Bachelor
CONSIDER: The Gentleman, someone just like you.

Personality Test

Eliz did a personality test on her blog. I also wanna do! Itz this "Get to Know Urself Better" test. So herez the results about me!

Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you meet that person.

The seriousness of your love:
Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex. In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive, so you will find yourself with plenty of dates.

Your views on education:
Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:
You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.

What are you most afraid of:
You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It's time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear.

Who is your true self:
You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.

Another test:

The Real You

Here is the analysis:
1. You've got great self-confidence and you're full of charm. Most guys who get to know you will be attracted to you. You are far from sweet and proper; your intriguing personality fascinates them. Most guys find it easy to fall for a girl like you.

2. You don't really care about other people's feelings. You do things the way you want and usually think only about yourself. You are easy-going and love to have fun, but you can be irresponsible as well. You are not keen on serious discussions because they can make you remember that life isn't always about parties.

3. You are a bright, cheerful and bubbly person. You are thoughtful and considerate, and like to have fun. Everybody feels comfortable around you because of your pleasant nature. When you walk into a room, people's eyes are likely to be drawn to you because of your charm.

4. Your peers think of you as a fun person, but sometimes you can be a little irresponsible. You can be somewhat childish, and can try to ignore the fact that you will one day need to really grow up and be a mature adult! Perhaps you could start reading good books; they might help you look at the world in a different light. You do want to be taken seriously, right?

5. Your boyfriend believes that you are a strong and independent person. Your confidence and cheerfulness make you an attractive person to be around, but sometimes you need to pay more attention to what other people, including your boyfriend, are thinking.

Hmm...pretty true hor these two personality test? Hurhurhur. I wud say 75% true. Personality tests are so fun! Esp. for bored ppl like me..haha!

Weird MRT rides (Itz a weird day)

This morn as i was gg for my interview, I met the most irritating old woman on the MRT! More irritating than those old women who hurries n "snatch" seats on the train or those who put their hand or plastic bags on seats to "book" them for their slower frens.

This old woman was standing beside n slightly behind me n wanted to get off at Toa Payoh. But bcoz the train was relatively crowded (not totally packed though), guess wat she did? She placed her wrinkled hand (wonder if itz filthy?! Yikes!) on my elbow/arm n PUSHED me. N den waddle her way out after PUSHING me. I cant believe it! Are there no such words as "Excuse me"? I was so so irritated n angry, i scolded her "Bloody bitch!" out loud, n one guy was so amused, he laughed. Pls lor, we were standing right in front of the door. Can make it out one lor! She like damn scared she cannot get out of the train lidat when we r juz standing 3 feet away from the door n there was no one in front of us! Argh! I was so disgusted i juz walked away n stand somewhere else away from the door n away from OLD grouchy women!

Den after my interview, as i was gg to top up my ezlink card b4 taking the train, this lady, ard my age or older, came up to me n said "Cud u be so nice n buy me a single trip ticket to paya lebar pls?" I was taken aback. I thot she wanted to cheat my money! Den she said "I din bring my wallet! Im so silly! I wanted to buy smthg n juz when i was gg to pay, i realise i din bring my wallet." So...being the NICE girl i am, i bought her a single trip ticket that costs $2.30 coz of the $1 deposit u have to make for the card on top of the fare. N guess wat? She barely said thank you. She juz told me she is gg to meet a fren n den juz walked away to take the train. Oh man, so much for being the kind soul. I mean out of courtesy, she shud at least offered to pay me back or ask for my contact or smthg, n I wud of coz say no need to pay back. I definitely dun mind buying her a ticket at all but she din even have the basic courtesy! She prolly saw me in office wear n thot i was rich or smthg, so much so tt she dun have to say thanx. Ingrate! Wat weird ppl!

I always encounter the weirdest thing when i take trains!

1) Kena pick up by guys (kena picked up twice within 1 week last month!). Ugly guys.

2) Kena complained by ah lian when i accidentally stepped on her toe. Altho i apologized, she had to say "hen tong!" (very painful) to her fren loudly 3 times with a few minutes interval in betw. Pls lah, it was an ACCIDENT n i alry apologized. So wat u want? Need to go hospital anot? Another bloody bitch.

3) Kena bullied by old women (those that run n push u juz to snatch seats for no rhyme nor reason when u r not even competing w them)

4) Today's old woman who pushed me (fucking ass!)

5) N ppl who forget to bring wallet n u gotto buy them a trip w/o a single word of thanks from them.

Think i shud seriously consider not taking trains anymore. Weird things juz keep happening to me on public transport!

Weird interview

Second n final interview at UOB this morning. Sux coz i was 5 mins late. Met the super weird director of the global biz n pdt development division. N he asked super weird questions. Here r some excerpts taken from our conversation:

Q1) Which pri sch did u go to? sec sch? jc?
In my mind: DUH! Isnt it all in the file u r holding? All my certs r there n he is LOOKing at it while asking me!

Q2) Why did u choose to go to CHIJ instead of St. Nicks'? NJC instead of NYJC? SMU instead of NTU? NUS instead of NTU?
In my mind: *faintz* stoopid questions dun deserve any answers at all.

Q3) Why did u go to the Science stream when u r stronger in ur humanities?
In my mind: Why do u care? Itz my life. NOYB!

Q4) Do u like to go club/pub? Which club/pub do u frequent/like? Do u like techno music? I thot youngsters like techno n retro music? Not bad wat.
In my mind: *faintz again* wat has it gotto do w the job? N well...i LIED.
My ans: Yes i do club but not often (yeah rite, im clubbing princess!). I go to Thumper (the classiest club i can think of out of all tt i frequent, coz of itz yuppy n more mature crowd). No i do not like techno (liar!), i prefer chillout music n rnb (some truth). Im not 18 so i dun consider myself a so-called "youngster" (wah i damn act mature man). n usually itz the ah lians n ah bengs who like techno (oh man who am i kidding? Im an ah lian deep inside n i like techno n house!)

Q5) Why shud we hire fresh grads when we train them so much but they end up getting poach or running away to other companies? We shud juz poach from other companies, whereby they r all trained n experienced.
In my mind: Den dun hire me lor...go thru so many interviews n selection for wat? Waste everybody's time ah? Go hire old ppl like urself lah.

Q6) R u willing to be stationed overseas long term? Say 10 to 20 years?...Nowadays so many young ppl wanna work overseas. Im quite surprised u r not as willing.
In my mind: SIAO ah! Den my Baby Nic Nic how? Im onli willing to travel or work there for at most 1 yr can? 10 yrs den i come back no need to get married liao lah? My Nic Nic run off alry lor! N i'll look so old n ugly no one want me alry leh!

Q7) Wat is ur view on marriages? U believe in them? So wat r ur marriage plans, like when do u plan to get married?
In my mind: Im getting married on 14th May 2007. U r not invited.
My Ans: Yes i do believe in marriages n there will come to a point in time when ppl wud want to settle down n get married. No i do not have any marriage plans (I lied bcoz i feel tt he is testing me whether i will give up my career to set up a family. Den they might think their efforts to groom me will be wasted) bcoz when it comes it comes. U cant set an age to it coz if it doesnt go according to ur plan to get married at a certain age, it only leds to disappointment n unneccessary stress. Also, ur career may be a itz peak at that time, and unpredictable situations can undermine ur plans. So i take things as it comes.

Q8) Which is more impt to u? Career or setting up a family? (I knew it was coming!)
Ans: Career. Im a career-minded woman. N w/o financial ability, u can forget about getting married, having kids, owning a car n a house. I wud rather strike a balance than to give up my career to be a housewife. (n ttz exactly wat i intended)

Q9) R u a Hokkien?
My Ans: No. Im a Hainanese.
Q10) Oh yah yah! (Turns to HR manager) She got a Hainanese face hor! Hainanese ppl r known to be hardworking leh. Good good.
In my mind: ..... ~nothing to say~. Wat can i say? I got Hainanese face? Den why did u ask me if i was Hokkien in the first place? Full of SHIT!

N these r juz some of the weird questions he asked me. In between there r a lot of weird comments too. Oh well, hope i handled it well...except that sometimes, i realli dunno wat to say bcoz he always rebutt me on things tt i say like he has the right answers to everything. Even the HR manager who sat beside him expressed amused/weird looks when he asked those weird questions. She even had to "ying chou" (entertain) him by nodding her head at his weird comments coz he looks at her occassionally for some nods of agreement. haha!

Anyway apparently he told me that out of the hundreds of applicants, i was one of the final 3 selected for the 2 positions they had. Wow, i realli felt quite lucky actually. Well, gotto wait till the end of the week for the outcome. But somehow, bcoz of the weird interview,i seriously dun have much confidence in it. Oh well...

Three

Today is Baby Nic and my 3rd month Anniversary... Yeah 3rd Month onli....feels a whole lot longer than that. Feels like we've known each other forever, feels like we noe each other inside out....feels like we r so so close together...feels like our level of understanding is deeper than u can imagine. We can juz think and say the same things at the same time, look into each others' eyes n noe wat the other party is thinking. Feels like itz been 3 years!

Sometimes i wonder if we are rushing into things. We have alry came up w our marriage plans, when to buy house n car, wat kinda car we want, where we wanna live and even wat to name our kids! We even know where to get our wedding invitation cards, the design we want, our baby's first month bday invitation card n wat kinda cakes to give out. R we mad? R we thinking too far? R we truly serious? Or r we juz tokking all in the name of fun? Somehow we seem so sure of it and we are alry working towards our future plans...to make it a reality.

Den again, I've nvr felt this way b4. Nvr had I felt so sure of anyone. The feeling that Baby gives me...makes me feel like he is my soul mate. Itz not like last time when i kept holding on to relationships by cheating myself n den psycho-ing myself that im not cheating myself..in other words: self-denial n blindingly loving for the sake of loving. N the most amazing thing is...for a girl who hates being bored to death n always looking for fun and excitment and fresh new things to do w my bf....i actually wud rather stay at home w Baby, cuddling n watching tv. N i find it so blissful that there is nowhere else in the world i rather be, nothing else in the world i rather do...than juz to sit there at home w u. Sometimes when Baby ask me if i want him to take me out...surprisingly, i juz wanna slack ard at his home w him. N ttz where i feel most comfortable. With my ex-es, i always BUG them to go out w me n absolutely hate staying at home! Coz staying at home w them makes me BORED n unhappy. Haha am i weird or wat?

Anyway 3 of the many things that Baby did so far that made me feel so happie:

1) Sing to me. Serenade me with songs that hold meaningful lyrics. n I once told myself tt i will marry the one who can serenade me correctly n melt my heart in doing so. So far...he is the first n only to successfully do that. Not that he is the best singer in the world...but juz somehow he cud make me smile n smile. Amuse me with his crazy MTV-style antics too...silly baby!

2) Eat up the food that i ordered but end up deciding that i dun like it. N order something else for me, or exchange his food w mine. Pick out every single strand of icky bean sprouts in my noodles. Detach every single piece of fats in my meat. Order strawberry milk for me, without me saying anything, to fill my hungry tummy first when the food is not ready to be served. Always letting me eat the nicer n bigger portion of the food. Tolerate my fussiness in food n places to dine.

3) Piggybacking me and carrying me whenever i feel tired or too lazy to walk. No matter how far the distance, no matter how heavy i am, no matter how tired he is. Fetching me ard whenever possible or sponsoring cab trips whenever i want coz i hate taking buses n hate squeezing on crowded trains.

Baby said he is always wanting the best for me...n that he wud give me the best as far as he is capable of doing so. I dunno wat i have ever done to deserve all these n so much more from u...but i appreciate it so so much. A BIG THANX to my Darling Baby Nic Nic.

Dunno if our future plans wud ever materialize....but i want it so badly to. Coz i can so imagine myself being Mrs. Nic.

Job Hunting progress

Turns out, the so-called "round of discussion" at Borneo Motors was the 4th round of interview..the one with the biz case. The 4 candidates r supposed work together as a team to come out w a biz plan given 1 million dollars. Easy for marketing students like me. But not easy if u have another candidate, a guy frm NUS, with also a 2nd Upper Class honours in Marketing, who is yet is a potential competitor on the team. The other 2 candidates are also frm NUS, one guy n one girl, with Mechanical Engineering degree. Itz not easy too, to work w engineering students, haha..different frequency. But we all managed to pull it off n came up w smthg i wud think is pretty fantastic since it impressed the directors pretty much. Unity in Diversity? N den we splited up the biz plan to present. So far so good...but i knew it was tough competition. Everyone was good in their own ways, which minimizes my chance of being the top n final 2 to be selected. Damn. Next n final round...to meet the Managing Director. Suddenly, im dying to to meet him. Haha. Cuz tt wud mean im the final 2 selected! *cross my fingers*

UOB called me again to change my interview time on monday to the morning. The HR person told me tt it wud be the final round n i will be meeting the Director of Global Business n Product Development, the division i will be working in if im selected. Apparently im the last candidate to be interviewed due to the hold up caused by my Bkk trip. I juz hope that everything goes well n tt i will not end up with nothing. If i dun get selected by either Borneo or UOB, i got to start my job hunting process ALL OVER AGAIN! Which realli realli suck big time.

Anyway I QUIT Bungy Bar yesterday! Haha...got realli sick of working there alry. N my stoopid boss is realli a two-headed snake, n a conniving hypocrite. ASSHOLE! I called him n he was so so nice to me (which i noe that he is being his usual fake self). After i told him i wun be able to work for him anymore coz i found a full-time job (which was of coz juz a lie n excuse to get out of it), his attitude changed 180degrees n he was so mean n rude n sarcastic! Now THAT is his normal self. Well, watever, i quit and so, ADIOS fucker! When they need me...they were super nice to me n i cud get away w almost anything i want, thanx to being the so-called prettiest waitress in their pathetic lack-of-girls bar. But it was so fake coz in actual fact, they dun give a damn about their employees' welfare at all. No wonder their turnover is so high.

Oh well....time for me to move on. Gonna pray hard tt i get a full time job soon. I played enuff alry. hehe! Getting bored.

7th Month Spooks!!

See my new revamped blog? Nice nice? Took me one whole afternoon to do it. So proud of it now. Haha.

Anyway itz the 7th month now n i urge all my frens to be very careful during this month. Even if u dun believe in ghosts, i can assure u that there are such things as spirits. Altho im a Christian, but yeah i do believe there r evil spirits lurking ard to cause trouble. So pls dun say the wrong things this month. I for one, will not criticise or say stupid things like joss sticks n incense r smelly. Haha.

One thing that realli spooked the fuck out of me happened yesterday. In the evening at ard 8pm, I was having dinner w my mum n Nic Nic. Den we all heard a damn loud bang. N itz unmistakably the sound of an accident, two cars colliding. Being super kaypoh, we went to the window n peered out. We saw one car up on the curb near the traffic light at the T-junction outside my block, and another car facing the two lanes off oncoming traffic. Looking at it, i thot tt it wasnt a serious accident as compared to the accident i was involved in a few mths back when the bloody SBS bus rammed into the car i was driving, creating history at my driving school, n being tauted as the most serious accident in their records. Oh well...den i saw the female driver being helped out of the car and she was all wobbly n had to sit down. After awhile the traffic police came, ambulance came (i dunno who got injured) n even the civil defence came. Wat seemed like a not so serious accident started to look serious n scared me a little. By 10pm, almost everything was cleared up, n i cud clearly see the dent it caused on the concrete pavement.

That wasnt wat spooked me. Wat realli freaked me out was that i was sleeping that same night when i was awoken at 630am by a loud bang. The oh-so-familiar bang that i heard in the previous evening, juz less than 12 hrs ago. So i thot i was dreaming abt the accident that happened. But smthg tells me tt itz not, some weird feeling tt came to me. So i opened my eyes n listened. True enuff, i heard my mum say to my bro, who was getting ready for sch, "eh another accident leh!" I was so freaked. Usually i sleep like a pig n dun hear anything, not even phone rings or doorbells. But why did i hear this bang? I got up n went to the window.

FREAK. This accident happened at exactly the SAME spot as the pevious one. This time it involved an orange car n a taxi. Juz that the taxi was a lil more over the curb n onto the grass than the previous accident. Isnt it SUPER SPOOKY? N my mum juz had to say "eh 2 accidents in a day, same place somemore. Isit coz itz the 7th month?" I was so scared...i ran back to my room, hid under he covers n wished so hard tt Nic Nic was there to hug me tite n tell me tt itz all juz a coincidence. Next morning, or shud i say noon, when i woke up, i looked out again n i saw the more groves n dents the taxi made on the grass n concrete pavement. Everything else was cleared alry. I went to talk to my mum, she said itz the 7th month, so must be careful. N she juz have to scare me more by saying "Bishan used to be a graveyard". Thanx for reminding me mum!

Im so spooked n freaked out now, i decided not to drive for the whole of this 7th month. Anyway my parking sucked. I tried to park my dad's car yesterday afternoon, but i spent like 10mins trying to get it into the lot! End up one uncle came n gave me directions frm outside my car window on how much to turn my steering n stuff n i finally managed to park the car. Oh n on wed, Nic let me drive his dad's car all the way home from his house at East Coast. How cool was that? My first time driving so far! N my first time driving on the expressway leh! I was so excited yet nervous. haha, but i made it home! All w Nic's encouragement by my side n his help in looking out for me.

But juz as i picked up my confidence, this spooky accidents had to happen n now i dun dare to drive alry. Until 7th month is over! Eeks!

Borneo Motors or UOB?

Im so excited. Coz Borneo Motors called me on monday morning to tell me that i got thru the 3rd round of interview and they would like to invite me over to their office for the position of managment trainee for a round of discussion with 4 of their directors on thurs morning (which is tmr). The other candidates will be there too and there will be 4 of us. This time they din say interview but a round of discussion. I realli wonder wat that means. Am i selected? Thru the 3rd round i noe one of the candidates is eliminated and im so relieved itz not me! But i wonder if they decided to cancel the 4th n 5th round since this time itz "discussion"? N they said they r planning to hire 2 candidates but in one yr they can hire up to 4. So i wonder if they r hiring me alry? I certainly hope itz good news for me!

UOB also called me last friday when i was in Bangkok. I got thru the first interview n they want me to go for the 2nd (final) interview on monday 8th. But i will still be in Bangkok and coming back onli at night. So the HR personnel sounded quite cruel as she said the director will be away on biz trip so monday is the onli day they can schedule the interview. She said she will ask if they are willing to schedule another interview slot for me.I was bumped. Coz she sounded like if there werent other days to schedule me, they will juz take me off the list. But! Lo and Behold! They called me on monday afternoon, same day as i got my borneo motors call, and said they want me to go for interview on the following monday 15th Aug! So means they want me! YAY!

And den now i face a dilemma. UOB or Borneo if they were to hire me? Tough choice. I dunno. Cuz i think both pays pretty well. The position of UOB is actually Senior Officer, doing marketing of commercial banking services to SMEs, to offer them a broader spectrum of services (which are currently offered to large corporations) to suit their growing needs better.

Wat do u think frens? Well, think dun think too much first. Wait till confirm get thru everything den think. Skali i end up w nothing man..wahaha *cross my fingers and hope thatz not the case!*

Fun time in Bangkok!

ALL we did was to SHOP SHOP and SHOP! It was a fun trip overall and we spent so much buying all the cheap and nice things in Bangkok. Some of the places we went to shop were MBK (wah damn big shopping centre...i went there 3 times and i havent shop finish yet),the weekend market Chatuchak (HUGE PLACE...itz like maze! think need 3 days den can cover everything...but we onli spent one day there), the night market at Silom and Suan Lum, the wholesale area at Sam Peng and Chinatown (where u get to buy things in bulk at cheap cheap prices!), a lil' of Siam Square and World trade Centre and road side stalls which sells absolutely cheap and fantastic stuffs!

Bangkok is realli a shopping haven except that some things are more expensive than in Hongkong. Those that been to Hkg will prolly find that stuffs in bangkok r not exactly dirt cheap. Coz their clothes are mostly like ard $10 per piece whereas i can get the same kinda clothes for $4 to $8 at Hkg. But the bags are definitely cheaper in Bangkok! I bought a total of 7 bags for myself, and 2 bags for my frens. The cheapest i bought are $4 and the most ex is ard $9, with the bulk of it being $8. each. Aint that cheap!? Shoes are about the same price as those at Hkg...juz that there are more variety over at Bkk. Accessories are plentiful! N yepz! i bought tons of those. Plus lotsa scarves. Plus i bought 4 pairs of slippers in the first 2 hours of shopping at MBK. Plus clothes! WOW!

Recently i dunno why but my fave colours are green and purple, esp green! Pink kinda took a backseat alry altho i still adore that colour. Over at Bkk, i bought so so many green and some purple stuffs! im MAD about green! And all the stuffs i bought for Yanling are all green (different variations and tones of it). I finally understand why Yanz love green so much! Itz now my fave colour too! I LOVE GREEN! Think Nic thot i was mad as almost everything green and pretty caught my eye.

Nic Nic bought a lot too! Mostly coz i found everything nice n i kept saying "Nice nice! Buy buy!" And so he bought...coz the clothes i chose for him are realli undeniably super nice and cheap! He bought like 3 working pants for ard $20 each n 6 working tops for ard $12 each and 6 going-out shirts that are slightly more ex. Itz shopping madness for us! we also bought lotsa titbits and foodstuffs home for our families.

But itz more shopping madness for Candy and Yimei. Me and Nic spent around $450+ each, while Yimei alone spent $750 and Candy, the shopping queen, spent more than $1k!!! Woah winners man! Anyway transportation and food in bangkok is realli cheap! One "seoul garden"-style bbq meal onli costs $16 for 2 ppl. N one meal at Nooch (which they call it Nooddi there) costs ard $5 per person with one drink n a bowl of noodles n dessert. CHEAP CHEAP! N the most expensive trip we spent on on cab was to the airport which took ard 40mins and costs onli ard $8! Our other trips are mostly ard $2. Damn cheap to get ard by cab!

S'pore is realli overpriced. I said it once when i came back frm Hkg...now i have to say it again. Things that are sold in s'pore comes from Thailand and Hkg too and im definitely not buying them in s'pore if i noe they have it in Bkk and Hkg. Coz den i will feel damn bloody cheated coz itz more than twice the price here! Now that i bought so many things abroad, im not gg to shop that much in s'pore anymore. Unless itz realli worth it and i realli like it a lot..wahahah!

We din do much sightseeing, mostly shopping altho on the first night when we get off the plane, we went to Patpong, the red light n clubbing district. We got "cheated" n persuaded by this man who asked us to go watch some girls do the "Ping Pong" show. The whole street was filled with clubs doing such shows. Wat the gers actually did was to do some stunts w ping pong balls and...their pussy. It was GROSS! Why i said we were cheated bcoz those gers are not pretty at all! And most of them did not have good figures and half of them are fat! With saggy boobs and bulging tummies! And yeah they were naked...onli wearing bikinis ocassionally b4 they strip. It was revolting. And they did other stunts too..all w their pussy e.g. opening a bottle, shooting darts to burst balloons, blowing a whistle w their pussy and pussy smoking. wahaha! Amazing but still...*pukes* disgusting.N one bloody drag queen, whom i think is kinda the mamasan there, kept flirting n making eyes at my Nic Nic! i was so pissed n i protectively put my arms ard him. haha! Den she asked if we r together n i nodded my head furiously! After a few failed attempts of flirtng w my Nic, she left us alone lah. haha!

As we were there, so many pimps approached Nic and asked him if he wants to see girls. Pls lor! U think w me ard he still need to see meh? Those gers so so super ugly! Yuckz! Turn-off! Den as we were leaving, one guy actually said in mandarin to me "Miss, u r very pretty". I was flattered initially, den he followed us n asked me "U wanna see guys?" I nearly fainted. Haha! YUCKZ!!!

We did some clubbing at this small club which was quite cool coz there were a lot of expats there and the live band was playing RnB songs! The best things is we juz walked in and din have to pay any cover or buy any drinks! Prolly coz too crowded so no one noticed us. Itz fun to dance w Candy n Yimei! But after awhile i was realli hot n tired, n the music slowly begain to suck. So we left. One thing about Thai girls is that...they cant dance. Coz when they dance, the only part that they shake is their booty. Thatz all. N not as if they got nice butts. *Faintz*

ooohhh...anyway we missed our flight home! Yeah how bad can it get right. this is my first time missing a flight. Our flight is scheduled 235pm thailand time but! we were all late. Nic n I rushed to the airport first becoz Candy n Yimei were still at MBK doing their mani and pedi. Whereas me and nic were late coz i was busy on my crazy bag shopping spree. We reached the airport at 210pm while Candy and Yimei reached at 225pm. N guess wat? Altho their gates close 10 mins b4 departure, we cudnt make it coz the immigration said that Nic n I cudnt get our luggage transported to the plane in time for take-off. N Candy n Yimei were too late, gates will be closed alry by the time they reached. So Nic was trying hard to get us on another plane and we did it! Also on SQ but a 4pm flight. However we cudnt get seats for Candy n Yimei coz they need their passports. By the time they arrive, luckily they still had extra seats on the same flight but they have to be seated separated. But i guess thank goodness we managed to catch the next flight home or else it will be super troublesome if we need to look for other airlines or stay for another night coz accomodation wud be a prob. Wat an experience!

Anyway, going to Bangkok w Baby Nic Nic is the BEST! Love spending every single moment w him and i get to see him 24 hours a day for 5 whole days! Paradise man! Wahaha...love being pampered n loved by him so so much. N we spent so much time acting crazy, shopping like mad, pigging out on yummy food n getting amused and laughing our heads off at every little thing, slping and waking up to each other every morning. Therez nothing else i want more.

So...where shall we go next? Hiakz!
