M.I.A update

Been missing in action from my blog for some time alry.
Too busy and too lazy.

Been tied down at work as usual,
only reaching home at almost 9pm everyday.
N i only have 3 hours to do my own stuff at home before i hit the bed.

So routined now.
Come home, eat dinner and watch tv (The Little Nyonya!), bathe,
surf net for a little while, talk to baby, sleep.

So little time, can only do so little things.

I've become very lazy to blog.
Even contemplated to stop blogging liao. Haha.
Everyday in office I write and write and think and draft and write.
Sometimes i feel that I can be an english teacher, sometimes a scriptwriter, sometimes can work in PR agency liao.

N no, the way i write at work is totally different from the way i write in my blog.
My blog writting super unpro..
For once I can write in broken singlish.

Anyway quick update of wat i have been up to.

Went to have some wine and finger food at The Wine Company at Dempsey with besties and Yanz NYJC council frens last last Sat.
Haha kinda my frens too lar, since we are all schoolmates.
Was super fun!
Good food, good wine, good chatting, good laughter.
Everyone loves the 2 selections of white wine i chose. Yay!

Sang from 10 pm - 2 am.
So shy lar, sing in front of ppl i not that close with.
But heck lar, enjoy can liao. Haha.

Baby came back from Japan and bought me:
1. Big kitty plush toy
2. Small kitty plush toy - edition from Universal Studio
3. Small Kimono-dressed Mickey and Minnie plush keychain that can double up as a softtoy badge/pin - from Tokyo Disneyland
4. 2 Hello Kitty pens
5. Kanebo Kate eyeshadow palettes
6. Lots and lots of yummy japanese snacks!

LY and Yanz got pressies too!
He bought for them a small kitty plush toy and a pen each.

As for the big kitty plush toy,
Baby made me choose between these 2 kitties!
Tough choice lor!
I chose the one on the left coz the material is nicer to touch
and it is the more expensive one!
The other one is meant for his passenger
as one of his passengers asked if he cud help him buy back to sg first so that he can give it as a surprise gift to his newly wedded wife.
Cant believe the passenger trusted his taste so much n left it to him to choose n buy. Haha.


Next highlight of the week is that i bought a new bag!
A new Gucci bag during the Gucci sale! =)
I like the pink version of this bag, but it comes in gold too!
N the gold one is on sale coz it was from last season - the fall/winter collection.
The pink version is the newer current collection.
30% off! So happie lor!



Now just waiting for Gucci to call me about my pink wallet which i reserved.
Apparently it has been sold out and they have to ship it in again.
Not on sale though...current collection.
I love Gucci in pink! Nice =)

Someone's coming home!

Bday celebration started last Friday with Cancan and Desmond at Tapas Tree and Wine Garage at Clarke Quay.
Spanish food is yummy!

Tried a different sort of sangria - Sparkling Moet Sangria!
Prefer either normal sangria (red wine) or pure Moet & Chandon though...haha.

Bday celebration with family was on Sunday at Margarita's at Dempsey!
Followed by ice cream at Ben & Jerry's!

I love Mexican food at Margarita's! =)


Actual bday on Monday was celebrated with Baby and besties at Morton's.
Has pre-dinner cocktails at Morton's bar.
Happy hour Martini at half price =)
Had my fave lychee martini.
Morton's serves the best martini's!

Their service is so good!
When i came, the server greeted me by name and wished me happie birthday.
Den they served my lychee martini with 2 sticks of lychees instead of the usual 1.
I love them! Haha!
Easy contented leh me.

The service was wonderful once again.
The waiter greeted me by name n wished me hapie birthday.
N our table was specially decorated with confetti sprawled on it!

It was truly the best steak I have ever eaten.
Huge portion, juicy, tender and succulent.
Totally mouth-watering and satisfying!
The lobster was not too bad, very fresh and meaty, but not the best.

Bday surprise!
The waiters from Morton's came from behind me (i had absolutely no idea!)
and started bursting into a bday song plus 2 lited cakes.


I did not know that the gers already bought me my fave strawberry shortcake from Rive Gauche.
So I happily went to order dessert altho all of them declined strongly.
I ordered a warm chocolate cake with haagen daz vanilla ice cream.
End up I got 2 cakes!
1 big, 1 small. Haha!

Celebrated my bday in the office with my colleagues too.
They bought me a pressie and a bday cake!
So sweet of them.

Miles Apart

Baby flew off to Japan last night at 1.10am.
Sent him to the airport, feeling very sad and reluctant to see him go.
It is only Day 1 but Im alry missing him lots lots lots...

Baby said he's missing me badly and that he cant wait to come home.
So wat if it is Japan that he went?
Being anywhere in the world without each other just sucks.

I just hope the next 6 days pass quickly.

Loving is missing someone whenever you are apart,
but somehow feel warm inside because you are close in heart.

Wherever you may be,
whatever the distance,
we may be far apart,
but forever close in our hearts.

Im the kind that gives up easily...
once i face setbacks and uncertainty.
Then throughout the day I realised,
if i were to give up now,
how much more will I lose?
Because uncertainty is certain.
I will never know unless I try.

So now im giving it one last try.
It is like a war, easy to begin but hard to end.
N because it is hard to end, I shudnt try to give it up.

The Oldie Birds

Im on leave yesterday!
N it's the start of Teacher Yanz Chan's school holiday.
So we two bummers met and went KTV!

I love to sing w Yanz.
We sang all the older and retro Chinese songs that we are familiar with,
like 天黑黑 , 心动 , 爱得正好 , 邓丽君 songs, 草蜢 songs to name a few.
LY very hip one...so always go KTV with her will sing new chinese songs that we dunno. *lolz*
To suit the theme for the day - Golden Oldies day or what I call 金曲老歌,
Yanz and I even sang oldie/retro/evergreen songs for our English selection,
with songs like Dancing Queen, Together Forever, Take My Breathe Away, Yesterday Once More etc...

We also sang songs from our fave shuai boys like Wang Lee Hom and Fahrenheit,
n we will gush & gush, and drool & exclaim '"Wah!", "So cute!",
and then squeal, gasp and melt.
Wahaha!

Baby and LY joined us after work and we went for dinner at Sushi Tei Paragon.
I tried to tell myself not to eat so much, but as usual i failed.
Ate till very full that I felt like i was gg to give birth and explode any moment.
Went to meet Eunice and Shaojun for some drinks and chilling out at
Harry's Bar at Far East Shopping Centre.
So long nvr see dear Eunice alry!
Happy to see her =)



Contemplating whether I shud go to Attica tonight for the November Birthday Babies themed night.
Can get 1 complimentary bottle of Moet n Chandon leh.
Still thinking.
Coz nobody confirmed anything with me.
Makes me not really in the mood to club.

Jasmine - my uni bestie

Met up with sweetie Jasmine for dinner today.
She was my best fren in uni!
Same faculty, always planning to make sure we get the same tutorials together, group-mates in most projects, best frens at school!

Den we got caught up with - the working life.
So we din meet for some time alry...
N we met up today!
Was actually looking forward to meeting up with her.
So glad we could find time.
Sh seems busier than me but her working hours are very flexible.
N she loves her job =)
Am happie for her.

Neither of us expected that we will ever end up in the banking industry.
So different from the future we envisioned back in school.
We both aspired to be in retail, beauty, fashion or consumer goods industries.
But now BOTH of us are in banking.
N we have decided to more or less stay in banking for now.
Coz that's where the money is at!

So much catching up to do, so din take much pic.
