My 姐妹s are my bestest bunch of frens EVER,
with more than 10 years of frienship and sisterhood.
And i am so glad to meet up with them after postponing our dinner and ktv date TWICE!

We had yummy Sushi Tei dinner. I was the latest to arrive..duh!
Coz i can only knock off after 630pm. =(
I had my fave fried salmon skin! Yummilicious! *crunch crunch crunch*

Sophia has become so skinny,
i feel tempted to stuff a whole ball of rice into her face.
Must be her husband-to-be never feed her enuff and eat up all her food!
I am so happie for my dearest Soph coz she will be getting married in Sept!
The first among my frens! N the most unexpecteed one too.
I rem how we constantly worry about her not being straight way back in sec sch.
N how i kept telling myself that she will grow out of this phase when she gets older.
Then, BAM! she's getting married and becoming Mrs Chng!

She asked what colour dresses we would like to wear.
We are gg to be her JIE MEI!
Wow...being a "jie-mei" for my jie mei's wedding. Hehe.
I instantly said "Pink!".
N everyone gave me the "yah we expected that" face.
But on second thoughts..i cant imagine Yanz and Daphne wearing pink.
So i reconsidered and here's my choice for your consideration:
1. Ivory/Cream (the colour that everyone will look heavenly in)
2. Pink (yeah the barbie-bimbo still wants it)
3. Turquiose (Yanz loves green! So this one's for her)

AFter a hearty dinner with lotsa yakking, we went KTV-ing!

Sophia turns to Fiona.
But Fiona's too lost in her own world to care, being contented with her Jasmine bubble tea and wheel-wheel crackers!

Yanz' heart softened and passes her the mic. Soph is happy again!

Last Day...

Friday was the last day for 2 of my dear colleagues. Though I was quite sad that we cant be colleagues anymore, but I know that we will still remain as friends and will still get to see each other becoz both have found new jobs in banks nearby. Haha!

Second Goodbye: My dearest Jocelyn!
She was my first FRIEND (as opposed to colleague) i made when i joined.
She joined 1 week after me, and we met at a course.
I intro-ed her and her hubby to salsa class.
We shared lunches, gossip sessions, beauty tips, shopping lobangs and secrets...
We worked hard together on our first D&D.
Since then, it was Her, Audrey and me.

I Love Cute Lil' Kids

I never used to like Kids...till recently...
I realized that kids like me! Hehe!
E.g. Baby's two nieces, esp Liv!
She's so cute and sweet and pwretty!
N she's only 21mths old!

Last Sunday, Bebe n I were taking a nap,
when Liv banged loudly on the door.
She wanted to show me the new dress she was wearing...
Coz i it bought for her.
So she woke me up to show me!

She also woke us up coz we were supposed to go for dinner at Changi Airport's McDonald's!


Last Sunday, I went with my big extended family to the cemetry to pay respect to my late Grandpa.
My aunt rented a coach to take all of us there.
My two nieces stuck to me the whole journey there and back!
N I have not seen my two nieces for abt 2 to 3 years!
But somehow, they kinda liked me i guess.
Three of us were sharing two seats,
listening to my iPod and chatting noisily.

Im so looking forward to the weekend everytime weds are here.
Coz it's already midweek!

Last Friday was a pretty sad day.
I was at Charles and Keith paying for a pair of very pretty white shoes,


when i saw smthg black on my diamond eternity ring.
Upon closer inspection, i realized that it was actually a hole!
One of the diamonds on my ring dropped out!
It was the one right in the middle of the 7 diamonds!
Luckily Lee Hwa was juz a few doors away, n i ran there to save my precious.
I din even know when and where the diamond dropped!

According to the salesperson, if you were your ring often, it is advisable to send it for servicing every 1 or 2 mths
Servicing is free and it includes cleaning n polishing,
n checking the diamonds and making sure that they are secure.
So ladies, Hurry Down and get your Diamonds serviced NOW!
To replace my one tiny diamond, I have to pay $80 to $100 for the diamond alone!
N I have to part w my ring for 2 whole weeks!
Baby was so sweet.
When I msged him to tell him what happened, he texted back saying
“Poor Baby. You go get a new diamond k. I’ll pay for it.”
Coz he was the one who bought me the ring last year.
Yippez!

On Sat, Baby n I went to the Suntec to check out 2 “branded sale”.
One sale sold shoes from hush puppies, renoma etc...which was so-so only.
The other sale sold auntie clothing that were so NOT branded.
There were lotsa cute childrens' clothing though, some from Gap and Osh Kosh.
I cudnt resist not buying anything, so I bought a whole lotta cute baby clothings for Baby’s 2 cute nieces! Teehee!

We went to the NATAS fair thereafter.
Got in for free coz Baby’s sis-in-law was working at the exhibition.
So stingy rite? $3 per pax only yet we also dun wanna pay. Haha!
We went ard asking about packages to Japan..
coz I really wanna go Japan! Esp Sanrio Puroland!
We met this really funny HongKong guy at Hong Thai.
The way he spoke Mandarin and English to us sounded exactly like it is on TV! Haha!
Baby n I were highly amused as most of the time we were trying to figure out wat he was saying. But he was a very frenly guy.
The Kodak moment was when we were leaving, he told Baby in his Hkg-accented Mandarin: “Ni de nu pen you hen piao liang” (your gf is very pretty).
N Baby replied “Wo zhi dao” (I know)
Wahahaha! Cheeky Baby!

After that we drove to the airport coz poor Baby had to work.
He had to see a big group of passengers off on a corporate trip to Korea.
So, being the nice gf I am, I offered to help Baby!
I was like Baby’s secretary/PA!
After everything, Baby said I did a very good job.
“What will I ever do without you? You simply complete me”
Yay!...100 brownie points for Princess Fiona!!!


After our nice dinner at the airport, Baby’s hp rang non-stop
coz his stoopid boss was calling from Korea.
When Baby was busy settling issues, I entertained myself!

It was super hot hot day.
I only like hot hot days when im out sun-tanning!
Poor me had to walk to the train station in the hot sun to meet Baby,
coz Baby din have the car this Sunday.
Sundays are supposed to be "being chaffeured" day.

and wanna watch some brainless crappy show.
Or you juz wanna relive your childhood.
But the turtles are really cute! Esp the area where their nose is supposed to be!

So boring… everyone likes Leonardo,
coz he is the leader of the pack and the eldest bro.

Me and my Martell

Last Friday was a Martell Friday. A group of colleagues and I went to Dragonfly to celebrate getting our bonuses and promotions. Personally, im not a fan of Dragonfly. Boiler Room's more my type. But some of my colleagues really dig Dragonfly. According to the waiters there, Dragonfly is the hottest and most popular outlet at St James. Well, i can see that. I've been there a few times and it is always so so packed! N the queues are so snaking long! Well, luckily we did not have to queue at all coz kiasu us went pretty early after work. One colleague of mine came at about 11pm. And after about 10 mins of queuing, the queue did not move at all depsite being in the members' queue! After awhile, he gave up and went to Butter Factory. Haha.

When we first reached there, i was so much more interested in what was gg on next door at Powerhouse...it was the CLEO most eligible bachelor party! A colleague of mine has a fren working as an editor in Cleo or smthg, and cud get us in through the backdoor. He was planning call his fren so that we can go over later in the night. But by the time we had our food, drinks and merry-making...he was kinda too drunk to call his fren alry. Chey! Missed my chance!

But i was the happiest coz i had my fave Martell! And i did not have to pay a single cent the whole night! Hohoho! We had a few buckets of my fave Heineken to start off the night, accompanied by yummy chicken wings, fries and teriyaki pizza. The food is really not bad, pretty tasty! Den came 3 bottles of Martell, 1 Hennessy and 1 Johnnie Walker for the rest of the night for about 10 of us. I was drinking so so happily! When Baby came to meet me to send me home...i was pretty drunk alry...and boy was Baby pissed! Hahaha! Took a few crazy photos that night. Letter Day

Yesterday was "Letter Day" aka "Bonus Day". It's time of the year when we get to know our variable bonuses and whether we r up for any salary increment or promotion. The day that everyone looks forward to, to see if their hard work has paid off.

I was indeed a very ignorant girl. While everyone kinda already knew that Letter Day was gonna be during the beginning of this week, i was totally clueless! I thot it was gonna be end March...like last year, so i din expect much. Well, apparently not. When i went to work in the morning, slogging hard and tabulating some frustrating numbers, my colleague Jon asked me to think of a place to go drinking to celebrate.

Me: Huh? Celebrate what? Your birthday ah?
Jon: *in disbelief* Bonus coming lah
Me: *in disbelief as well* Really meh!?? How u noe? So fast? 'Zun' anot?
Jon: Of coz lar! Im so resourceful!
Me: See how much bonus i get first lar. Skali get peanuts. Den i treat u eat peanuts k!
Jon:.....

After lunch, another colleague of mine waved at me excitedly,
ST: Psst! I heard from sector cooridnation dept that today is Letter Day!
Me: Letter Day? What letter? The XXX letter that we r gg to send out to customers?
ST: *rolls eyes* Bonus lar!
Me: Oh! Today ah? Really meh!? Jon also told me this morning, but i thot he bull-shitting.
ST: Really lar! Later u see lor!
Me: Ok ok! I go ask Jas! (my boss' secretary)
*Getting realli hyped up and...nervous*

It turned out to be true! We were getting our letters! But our boss was out for meeting till about 5 pm, and all the letters are in his hands! Shucks...the anticipation was bugging lotsa ppl. It wasnt like i was expecting or even hoping for a promotion like some of my collegaues. But for me, it was the excitment about the $$$. Just show me the $$$. I was hoping for a satisfactory increment and a good bonus enuff for me to do some serious shopping and to go for a nice holiday.

Well, we finally got our letters at the end of the day. My boss had given my team's letter to our team leader, and we were called into the meeting room one by one to receive our letter. When it was my turn, i din even noe coz i was totally at the wrong place! I was chit-chatting in the toilet! Haha! My colleague ST ran into the toilet looking for me and screamed "Fioonaaaaa! Your turn lar, faster! Letter letter!".

Team Leader: Thank you very much Fiona, for all your hard work and effort.
Me: Thank u, thank u.
Team Leader: You have helped me a lot, n I know you have been stretched. So, thank you.
Me: Thank u, thank u.
(I know i sound damn dumb to keep saying thank u after she thanked me. But i was too nervous n i wasnt thinking straight. Was just staring at the letter in her hands!)
Team Leader: *hands me the Letter, and stuck out her hand* Congratulations. You have been promoted.
Me: *Stunned and in shock* oh!...*pause* Thanks!
(yeah i sound totally DUMB)

Overall, im pleased that my hard work has indeed paid off, and that i din put up with shit for nothing. Im now promoted from a Senior Officer(SO for short = 'Asshole'" to an Assistant Manager (AM for short). Sounds damn high ranking eh? haha!

So Yay!..I guess.

But upon pondering further, i realized that it just means 3 things:
1. Higher expectations coming my way
2. Expanded job scope and more work
3. More headache!

It may not be such a good thing after all. *sigh* Life is just so complicated.
