Short getaway with Baby on a 3D2N trip to Kuala Lumpur on the weekend before Xmas.
Was a good break from work.
KL had nothing much to offer though (except for the great clubbing!).
Fashion sucks, nothing much to walk or go to.
But just being with Baby makes the trip super enjoyable!
We can be anywhere in the world as long as we are there together =)
My virgin flight on Jetstar.
Have nvr taken budget airlines before.
But Jetstar seems ok. At least we get to choose and reserve our seats in advance.
I will never take Air Asia or Tiger Airways!
Flight was at 630am...super early.
Was at the airport by 445am. *yawnz*
Only had about 3 hours of sleep.
Harrods at KLIA! (Kuala Lumpur International Airport)

But i din buy it coz everything is super overpriced.
Baby using my Hello Kitty pen to fill up his immigration card.
That's one of the Kitty pens he bought for me from Japan's Universal Studio!
Upon arriving, we took the KL Express train to KL Central,
before transfering to a monorail to get to our hotel's train station.
The express train was nice and clean with comfy seats.
But oh boy, their public transport sucks!
Everything looks old and dirty. The monorail looks like it can breakdown any moment.
KL is still a rather backward place by my standards!
I thot they are supposed to be a very developed city.
But kinda looks like Bangkok to me. Haha.
In fact i think Bangkok trains are better and cleaner.
We are finally at our hotel, Berjaya Times Square,
where their rooms are all suites.
We booked the normal suite room.
Good news is that upon our request, we cud check in early at 12pm,
n check out late at 2pm! =)
Here's our suite.
There is a living room, dining table, kitchenette, 2 connecting bathrooms and a bedroom.
I find it somewhat old though. I had higher expectations actually.
A few of the side lamps in our room were not working!
N the bathtub dun look sparkling clean.
It is supposed to be a 5-star hotel but looks more like a 3.5 or 4-star to me.
But overall it was ok la, carpeted, spacious and we were on the highest floor (43rd floor) =)

Luckily now defunct, else I will be very scared to stay at Berjaya coz it is so near the prison.
Our hotel is connected to Berjaya Times Square Shopping Mall.
Super big mall with a indoor theme park.
Check out the roller coaster track. Scary.
Went shopping ard. Check out Etude House!

We went shopping at Sungei Wang as well and bought some dvds at a fantastic deal!
Ate chicken buffet dinner at Hertz American Chicken Buffet Restaurant.
Chicken tasted great! But everything else sucks..esp all the sides.
Highlight of the trip was our clubbing experience there!
We checked out Phuture at Zouk Malaysia..and oh boy, it was way better than Singapore's Zouk!
Their Phuture totally rocks and the DJ was fantastic!
Played lotsa super nice R&B songs.
They first warmed up with the older popular R&B songs,
which brought back may memories and were super nice to groove to.
Den they came full swing with the latest R&B songs!
Was so good, it got me and Baby all high on the music and dancing all night long
altho our feet were killing us!
We only had one whisky and one beer each.
Totally not high but totally high on the music.
Which is a very rare case for us in SG.
Here in SG we usually got to drink a considerable amount before we get all high and dance away.
Trust me, it is that good!
I was so wishing my gals Candy, LY and Yanz were there w us that night to enjoy this!
I know that they wud have loved it as much as I do.
Back from clubbing in the hotel lift.
We were super exhausted from all the non-stop dancing.
Havent clubbed like this in a long while.
I almost cudnt feel my legs.
Next day, we resumed shopping at Lot 10.
Haha, we bought clothes from Topshop and Topman.
Isnt it funny? Singapore got, dun wanna shop.
Go all the way to KL buy Topshop. Crap. Haha.
But seriously the fashion at the local shops sucks!

It really looks good. It is probably the nicest building in KL.
Nothing else comes close.
Looks rather ordinary in the day. But at night, it looks magnificent!
What's gg to Malaysia without eating some local cusine?
No coffeeshops for me pls.
So we went to Madam Kwans' - Truly Malaysian Cuisine restaurant.
Ate some otah, nasi lemak and another nasi-something.
Taste super good! Uber Shiok!
Had chendol for deeserts too. But dessert was a disappointment.
I had better chendol. Haha.
After dinner there was nothing really to do or shop.
So we went out of KLCC Suria, crossed over the road to find a good spot to take a pic of the twin towers!
I took such a great shot of Baby and the Twin Towers!
But the same cant be said of his photos.
His photography skills just sucks lar.
He took many shots of me and the twin towers, and this is the best he cud pull off.
We went to Ampang at night and walked along the long stretch of bars and pubs.
It is something like Mohammed Sultan back in the days when it was still alive.
Came to this place called Beach Hut which we heard is quite good.
It has the most number of patrons on a Sunday night,
and was the most packed club along the street.
There were lotsa Filipinos at the club though.
Hookers I presume.
All scantily-cladded, flirting, eyeing and trying to hook up with the ang mohs.
Some succeeded, some were turned down flat.
It was a damn good place to people-watch here.
N despite us just sitting there for over an hour with only one drink that night,
we really enjoyed ourselves watching people and gossiping about them. Haha.
Those Filipinos are really daring and blatant!
N they only want ang mohs. Men of other races like Malays or Indians are all rejected.
N they have really big boobs! Like at least a C to D Cup.
On top of that, they all wore push-ups to emphasize their assets even more.
Gosh...it's like shoving them in the ang mohs' faces.
I suspect their boobs are fake. How can ALL of them have such big boobs?
Most are thin, so confirm fake lor!
Only those plumpish ones...maybe real la. haha.
We went swimming at our hotel the next day after breakfast.
It was our 3rd and last day in KL.
Wanted to suntan, but we only managed to do so for awhile,
coz the sun disappeared into the clouds after that =(
Surprsingly, when we tried getting into the water for some dipping and swimming after tanning,
the waters were super cold!
It was so cold, both me and Baby were shivering like mad
and we took a long long time to get our whole body into the pool.
We had to go in by the steps in the pool, machiam like kids,
to slowly submerge ourselves into the pool.
N yes, we were making a lot of noise. Esp me, i was shrieking!
N my teeth were chattering. No joke.

Told you it doesnt look as nice in the day as at night.
We went for a bit more shopping after that at Chinatown, Petaling Street.
Baby managed to do some shopping there, and I managed to get gifts for my bro and dad.
Did some last minute shopping before we had our last meal in KL.
Had yummy food at Vivo!
Haha...it is actually a cafe/restaurant like Spagheddies offering pastas and pizzas.
Not too bad actually.
Pretty cheap too for a restaurant.

The shopping there was truly a disappointment.
We din buy much there.
The number of things me and baby bought can use just 2 hands to count lor.
Back in SG, Changi Airport,
Baby and I walked past Gucci and he suddenly spotted a wallet which looks like the one I wanted in Gucci's display window!
I looked closely and it certainly was!
N lo and behold!
It was the last new piece!
The lady said it was a very popular and fast selling item and most places do not have stock anymore.
I bought it immediately!
I was so so happie, and felt so so lucky to have came across it.
Phew!
I actually have it reserved at Gucci Paragon,
as the wallet has been out of stock and new shipment has not come in yet.
But so far, they have not called me back.
I waited and waited for almost a month already!
Feel really lucky to have bought the last new piece at the airport's Gucci.
If not I udnno how long more I have to wait!
But yet felt abit suay coz if i was departing, I did not have to pay tax.
I was arriving, so I had to pay the dumb 7% GST which works out to be almost $50! =(
Cudnt get it when I was departing coz my flight was 630am and the shops are all not opened yet.
Suay lor....
So pay the 7% gst lor =(
Haiz.
Nevertheless, im super happy with my new pink Gucci wallet!
Yay! Im one happy girl.
