Shopping in S'pore is indeed expensive. In S'pore, i dun realli like to go for sales and cheap stuff. Coz stuff on sale are usually either leftovers that people dun wanna buy, clothes that are out-of-season, with defects, or in odd sizes. Whatever it is, im always suspicious of sales in S'pore. Unless it's something that is on sale but yet not dirt cheap. Or during the Great Singapore Sale. Den more likely it's worth the buy.
Somehow whenever i stumble across smthg that i like, i always pray hard that it will be cheap or at least meet my estimated expectation. But somehow, it almost never work out that way. Things that i like happen to turn out to be expensive. I dun think itz coz i have expensive taste...but more becoz..i have such a soft spot for very pretty stuff! Embroidery, lace, ruffles, flowers, butterflies, sequins....which all works out to be expensive. Plus all those pretty shoes that come in so many different designs that always put me in dilemmas! =( *sobz* I feel like such a poor girl.
BUT! When im in Bangkok and esp Hongkong ( I can hear Jialing and Elizabeth sigh and say "Here she goes again. Ask Nicholas to buy her a piece of land there"), I feel like a Shopping Princess! So many pretty yet CHEAP stuff! I'll juz take and buy, and buy and buy. Dun need to think so long. I guess over there they do not thrive on high margins but instead whip in on the volume. I feel so so rich!
Anyway, i finally got my hair cut. Well...trimmed. Went to Supercuts to try try since i heard itz not bad. Had to do so coz my dear Kimage stylist is relocated to Jurong (freaking far), and Kimage at PS is now Kimage Prestige..and poor me...cant afford it anymore. N neither do i trust the ppl frm other outlets esp the one at funan. Well, the hair cut at Supercuts turned out pretty good i must say. Shampoo girl is super helpful and kept trying to give me lotsa hair tips. Stylist was professional and good. All except the dumb cashier/receptionist who spoke poor english (ah lian pattern one), n dun seem to understand half the words im saying. Have to keep repeating myself. So irritating! N u all noe how bad my mandarin is. And they charge $36...more ex than Kimage! But overall still quite good lah. =) *relatively satisfied customer*
Going for my 2nd Salsa class tmr! I love salsa! Itz so so fun! Finally get to learn it since my ex-bf used to forbid me from learning. After Level 1, im going o to Level 2 den to Advance! And up next, im gonna take up Exotic dance and Rumba. I love dancing!
