Back from Bangkok - Part 2

Hokay dokes, im back with Part 2 of my trip.
Hope my entries arent boring you...haha.

Day 3...

I always like to take photos of my hotel room door to rem the room number and how the hotel looks like. =)


In the hotel lift...well hokays i know you cant tell that we're in a lift. Haha!


Off to Chatuchak Weekend Market after breakfast. A must-go place everytime we are at Bkk. Duh!
Anyway the dumbass taxi driver dropped us off at some back entrance of Chatuchak.
Im so not familiar with it coz we usually drop off at the entrance in front that is right at the clothes section.
But now we are lost in the fish and animals section! Dammit!

Giant turtles! I got such a fright. They are like super HUGE.
Size of a big wash basin. Maybe bigger. Scary!


Squirrels or chipmunks. I cant tell. But i was so disappointed coz they look like some mouse. Not as cute as i thot squirrels or chipmunks will be. To think that i love chipmunks so damn much! -_-"


Rabbit - all dressed up. Looks like some dumb clown. Yucks.
Ok fine...im not an animal person ok?
Coz there are no cats. I love cats.


We walked and walked and it was so BLARDIE HOT!
Havent even start shopping den so hot alry. Super irritated!
Den we finally found the information counter, got ourselves a map, walked in the right direction and we found the clothes and accessories section that we always shop at! Yay!
It is a huge section! We din finish combing the area. Too crowded, too hot and too humid.

It is so hot that i bought a Hello Kitty fan.
...Ok ok it is just an excuse. I LURVE the Hello Kitty fan! So cute!
There were like 10 different designs. But Baby wun let me buy.
I cud only choose one. Cost 25 baht each (= SGD$1.10)


After almost 3 hours of shopping, we felt so scorched, dehydrated and tired.
Super sticky too and Baby cudnt take it anymore. Haha he is weaker than me!
i cud shop till i drop but he is heating up alry.
So we left with only a few bags in hand.
Wah lau, last time i shopped and bought so much more stuff!
Ok shall not complain. Must think about my Baby's welfare.
So we went back to the hotel and took a shower.
Den it was off to a quick bite lunch!

We ate at the A&W somewhere opposite our hotel at an IT Mall.
Yumz! I miss eating A&W. Singapore dun have it anymore =(


We ate curly fries, ice-cream waffle and hot dog bun!
But not as nice as when i ate in Singapore last time leh.
Either standard drop or standard in Bkk is low to begin with.
Buti m still happie lar...hee!


Went to my ex-UOB colleagues' service apartment at Ascott hotel to visit them and take a look at where they r staying.
There are 5 of them living in 2 rooms but only 2 of them ard that day.
Wah damn shiok coz the apartment is damn big! It is like a condo apartment!
Each room got one living room, dining area, kitchen and two huge bedrooms with attached toilets.
N in the toilets got shower cubicle and bathtub!
Wah so shiok..i like!
I hope next time my house also lidat. hehe.

At their kitchen. Nice nice!


We intended to go for massage at Healthland Spa just opposite their hotel.
But in the end, it was so crowded (coz it was sunday) that we had to wait an hour before our turn as all their rooms r fully booked.
There was nothihng nearby to do or shop.
So in the end we made appointment for the next morning instead.
Prob Monday so wun be crowded. We totally din expect the crowd =(

So we went shopping again!
My ex-colleagues told us of a good lobang place at Victory Monument.
There are a lot of pasar malam kinda stalls there all over...like chatuchak.
Just that more spread out, less narrow and more ventilation.
Plus it is dirt cheap there!
It is where the locals shop at and it is not as touristy as chatuchak or suam lom.
I bought pretty earrings at 20 baht each! Which is like SGD $0.90.
I bought a very chio bracelet for 79 baht too (which is $3.50) - but looks like it will cost at least $29.90 in SG.
I bought 3 rubber bands for like 5 baht. Which is SGD 2 cents! Woah!

After that we went to MBK to shop again. Haha.
N ate at the BBQ place that me and Baby ate at when we first went to Bangkok together 3yrs back!
But somehow dun taste as nice as before.
Maybe i got too spoilt by Singapore's standard since nowadays i always eat BBQ and steamboat.


After dinner, we went back to the hotel to change coz Baby said he wanted to bring me to a very nice and romantic and posh place!
I was so excited!
The place is Lebua hotel.
Shud go there and try!
It is a very very high class hotel (like fullerton or ritz carlton standard) that has only SUITE rooms.
No normal rooms.
N they have this fine dining place cum bar at their 54th level and 62nd level.
Like Baiyoke Sky but much more high class n posh and chio!
Baby wanted to book a dinner table there...
candlelight dinner on the rooftop overlooking bangkok city and chao praya river sia!
But it was too ex...like almost $200 per person.
So in the end i asked him not to waste money.
Just go there for drinks can alry.

At the 62nd floor's bar and dining area called - Dome.

Most people there are ang mohs and tourists.

The lights around the bar top keeps changing...cool! =)
I love it when it is pink.


For the first time i actually felt cold when im outdoors in Bangkok.




Anyway the 64th floor bar - Dome, is quite crowded.
So we decided to move to 54th floor's bar called Breeze for a nice cosy drink.


The bar area at Breeze is smaller and it was also full.
So we sat at the indoor bar lounge while waiting for an available seat at the outdoor bar counter.
The interior looks very posh and cosy...i like!




I ordered a Mojito which Baby ordered some bourbon concoction.
Forgot the name of it.
Anyway there are lots mint leaves in it! haha.
N both drinks are realli quite strong. But nice!



Yay! Finally got seats at the outdoor bar!

We went back to the hotel after that to pack our stuff as we are leaving the next day already.
But our flight was at 730pm so we still had time to go for our massage and last minute shopping!

We went for massage at Healthland Spa where we made our apointment at 10am in the moring,
and did the Aromatherapy Full Body Massage together in a couple room.
Damn SHIOK!


It was my first time doing this kinda massage (I noe i very sua ku...)
Coz i used to be be very scared of pain and im afraid that it tickles whenever someone massages my legs and feet.
Turns out that it was alright and totally shiok!
I did feel some pain at some parts but it was the shiok kinda pain!
N my thights did felt a bit ticklish when being massaged at first but after some time it was ok alry...became shiok. hahaha!
Loved every moment of it...feels super relaxed.

After massage we went shopping at Pratunam market and Platinum mall near our hotel before we left for the airport at 5pm.
We took the airport transfer that Baby arranged.

There's a shop at Platinum Mall selling suits called Nicholas!
So i made Baby stand there to take photo.


At the new Bangkok airport - Suvarnabhumi Aiport.
In generally the airport isnt impressive. All steel n metal design...looks so cold.
N there is nothing much there except shops.
Realli cant compare to Changi Airport.
Since there was realli nothing to do, we sat down and ate our last Phad Thai there.
Altho i just ate 3 donuts from Mister Donuts on the way to the airport...hahaha!


Their flight control tower...not nice one. Haha.


Ok! End of our trip.

He din buy as much as me, but per piece of what he bought is much more expensive than mine.
