Obsessed over a Brokeback Boy

I stumbled across a link in my fren's blog. I din like what i saw. It was a link is called "Hazel & Nicholas" and it links to a blog about this couple called Hazel & Nicholas...duh. Dunno who they are but apparently they r expecting a baby. Dunno if they r married though but i suppose so lah...haha. The blog name is BabeHazeNic. U know why i dun like it? Itz becoz:
(1) I love my Baby Nic Nic so much, i get jealous easily, even when his name is associated with another girl's name other than mine. Doesnt sound nice to me. Boo =(
(2) Hazel is my best fren at work and my closest colleague! Though she is from another team... Check her out below! I love shopping and yakking non-stop with her! N most imptly, she is one of the very few people i trust most in my office.

So, you put my darling baby with my closest colleague together... it is just plain weird. I cant imagine that..neither do i want to!!! So u can imagine how i feel when i saw the words " Hazel & Nicholas" and "BabeHazeNic"!!! Not nice....dun like! On the other hand, "fionic" sounds cool! hehehehe!

Gosh...i cant believe i actually blogged abt this. Sounds so childish of me! Itz either I love Baby too much. OR.....well....there is no 'or'. Im obsessed!

Well, how interesting can it get without a nice pic of Baby n me? This is to further illustrate my obsession.

Baby told me not to post this pic...but i cant help it! It is one of my fave pic! Dun you think we look soooo compatible? The angle of our faces seems mirrored! N our smiles and facial expressions are so similar! It is all candid and not pre-arranged. Plus! Look at the matching diamonte butterfly hairclip Baby n I are wearing! Haha! We were shopping ard when we stumbled upon Chameleon. Baby seemed fascinated with this hairclip. When i tried it on, he sportingly and curiously clipped it on his hair too! I found him so cute, i quickly whipped out my hp to snap a pic.

Doesnt he look so sweet and cute? Kinda like a transvestite gg out shopping with his(ahem..her?) female sisters huh? Reminded me of that time when we were in Bangkok and travelling on the train, where he mimicked the destination's name "Chit Lom" in an extremely 'Thai' and 'Drag' way. Got Candy, Yimei and me bursting out loud in uncontrollable laughing fits.

Sometimes i really suspect he is a Brokeback Boy. He loves Brad Pitt to the core. Besides mine and our photos on his room's bulletin board...he has Brad Pitt's pic up there too! He is such a lazy person but he even bothered to take the effort to cut Brad's pic out nicely from a magazine to stick it up. Plus...look what he made me take of him when we shopping at MBK shopping mall in Bangkok:

Baby was also very excited when he watched the movie "Troy" on HBO...and he was gushing to me about how much he loves Brad Pitt's butt (Brad stripped to his butt in the movie). According to Baby, he likes it coz it is so "tight, firm and tan". N remember the time he gushed about how nice Brad's blue eyes were when watching "Mr & Mrs Smith"? *faintz*

Also, Baby has a very close fren from his NS days. One of his best bud. N...he's gay! (K lah..bisexual lah) They r so close, esp during army days...that i get kinda worried. Sounds dangerously like the story of Brokeback Mountain huh?!

Oh no!!!! R u really a Brokeback Boy baby? Tell me now! I can take it! Really! *sobz!*

Wedding Bells Ringing

One of my best frens is getting married! Sophia, one of my dearest IJ sista, has announced to all of us yesterday that she is engaged to be married next year on 10th June 2007, which happens to be her 24th birthday!

I am so happie for her as I can totally understand how she feels. If you can recall, I announced last year on my 30th June 2005 entry that I was getting married. Baby and I decided to get married on our 2nd year anniversary on 14th May 2007. If we go according to our plan, I will be married one month b4 Sophia. BUT! I shall take this opportunity to announce that we r not getting married then anymore. We will be postponing our marriage to probably 14th May 2008 or 2009. We have yet to achieve our "financially stable" status to get married n afford a house plus all the additional expenses we will incur as a married couple. Furthermore, Baby is going to further his studies to get his degree in business (tourism management), starting this May. We'll need money for that too. So I guess our marriage plans have to wait. *sobz!!!*

Lucky for Sophia, her situation is different. Her bf is alry 29 yrs old, who is prolly financially stable at his age. N Sophia is a rich ger from a rich family! Sigh...really cannot compare. Altho she has been dating him for just a few months, he must be really something for Sophia to consider marrying him. Just like me and Nic! We dated for like 2 months and knew that we are soul mates.

I hope Sophia makes me her bridesmaid or one of her "jie-mei" or smthg. Haha! Oh...mebbe she'll sponsor my gown. That'll be cool! Plus make-up and hair? Hehe! Hor...Sophia? *hiakz* Poor Sophia. She's got a really demanding friend.

Oh yeah, by the way Soph, if you are planning to get Li Ying to be your bridesmaid, u cant! Coz she is MY bridesmaid. I "chiop" her long time ago alry! Haha! So why dun u make ME your bridesmaid? Coz im prolly getting married next, so wun get a chance to be bridesmaid anymore! The rest if our IJ gang...dun jump the queue hor! =P

First time, Last time

I have never really fancied the boutique "Forever 21", so i dun own a single piece of apparel under that brand. But one day, Miss Shopaholic had her eyes n hands itchy when she spotted the mannequin wearing a, what she thinks is cute, yellow knitted top. It has these puffy kinda sleeves that are so adorable! It also comes in 2 colours: bright yellow n dark blue. N the yellow one is so bright and cheery! Not your typical banana, but a sunny shade! So! Off i went zipping into the store, pulling the top over my head (juz like an auntie), and viola! Fitted me perfectly. So i bought it, altho it is obviously overpriced at $48.

I loved it so much, i wore it immediately after that. Well, itz partly also becoz my purple spaghetti top's straps kept falling off my shoulders and it was getting irritating...and some might say, obscene. My latest excitment wore well on me that day. I thot it was a good buy.

Then, after one wash...i wore it again...and it became LOOSE! Esp ard the neckline! CRAP! Im so angry! Lousy material that did not show itz quality until being washed clean with water that revealed itz true colours! Now i feel so darn cheated. I could have bought a much more worth-it top, with better material with that money!

So dear readers! Forever 21's clothes are not worth it! Im boycotting the shop! Hmpf! Lousy!

To make myself happier, I took some pictures with Baby on the day i wore my over-stretched, lousy, and used-to-be-my-favourite yellow puffy sleeves knitted top...coz my Baby never fails to cheer me up!

Baby likes to look at me. I love it when Baby looks at me! When he has all eyes on me, where his gaze will linger on me like im his beautiful sunset. Im an attention-seeker!

Look at how work has made Baby and I ugly. Stressful hectic jobs causes wrinkles and tired eyes on Baby. Me? My double eyelids have merged to become single eyelids! N i've now got really puffy eyes n cheeks that is probably ballooned with frustration n irritation. Im Miss Puffer Fish! I hate fish! *bleugh* But despite our work stress and frustrations, we still twinkle with happiness whever we are together. Thatz coz we find solace n comfort in each other. Yay!

Baby can say things that are really funny. One in a relax mode last week...and one when he was realli pissed off at work today.

Confessions of a Shopaholic!

"I shall not spend anymore money!"

"This is the last pair of shoes/ bag/THING i will buy for the rest of the month!"
"OK ok! NO more!"
How many times i have repeated these words of mine? MANY.
How many times did i keep to them? NONE.
Crap. I just cant resist shopping for pretty things!

In this past week alone, i bought 3 pairs of shoes (very pretty shoes! 1 from Tangs Studio, 2 from Gripz) that costed me an average of $60 each. I also bought another Guess bag from their latest collection ( I bought 1 in Jan and Baby bought me another 1 in Feb, and now i bought another 1 in March! That's 3 Guess bags in total!) N i bought 3 tops in the past week too. THREE...is the magical number i guess.

I went to the Metro Expo sale yesterday...and i din buy any bra and panties! Achievement! i usually cant resist the cheaper-priced Triumph and Bee Dee bras at departmental store warehouse sales. But...sadly..thatz bcoz i recently bought the new Triumph T-Shirt Bra Set that costed me about $85 ($79.90 for bra top and $24.90 for thong, with $20 discount for UOB cardholders!) It is as advertised, the SOFTEST and most COMFY bra i have ever worn. N it fits me so pefectly! Yummy! Anyway....at the Metro Sale...i ended up being house-wifey and bought myself a set of bedsheet, 2 packets of Rosti to cook, and a box of almond chocoalte biscuits. Hehe! I wanna cook rosti for Baby!

Well...to justify it all...i think deserve all these afterall. Coz i worked hard and should pamper myself. Plus, i just had a salary increment and a fat bonus! Yay! Need i say more? What should I buy next? hehehehe...Shopaholic at Work. Join me, anyone?

Big Boyz Toyz - Cars n Soccer Balls

Fast Cars, Cute Cars
Just read Jasmine's blog that she's gonna get a Honda Civic (8th model). I suppose her parents bought it for her. Freak. Im so jealous. I drive a Honda Civic too! But...it's the 7th model...and unlike her, the car is not mine but my dad's. Shucks. I guess life for everyone turns out really differently. Well, Baby and I went to look at cars on Saturday too. We went to the stretch of car showrooms at Ubi. Woah...I love cute cars! If I cant afford my Volkswagen Beetle, I'll just have to settle for smthg similar, small and cute first, before saving up hard and buying my dream car in the faraway future. Did I say "faraway future"? Yeah...what a bummer. Unless I land myself w a super job that pays super mega-bucks.

Personally I find Nissan March a very cute car! I see it on the streets and I'll go "so cute!" But in terms of performance, I guess it is not fantastic. On the contrary, I think Honda Jazz is a pretty good car. It is cute-looking too and it is definitely a better car than Nissan March, however, much pricier. It cost as much or even more than a Nissan Sunny. But what can I say? Better stick to what Baby and I can afford. And then, there are other issues involved too that goes far beyond the price of the car. Mebbe I shud just not hope for too much and be a simple girl that drives her daddy's car or wait for her dear bf to drive her around in his dad's car during weekends?

Soccer Hooha
At night, we rushed to Baby's home to watch our long-awaited Liverpool vs Manchester United match! N these two silly Babies actually wore their out-of-season Red Liverpool and Blue Man United (Away) jersey, ordered pizza, and had their eyes glued to the screen of a big green patch with a little white ball and many little red and blue men. Baby's jersey is so much more outdated than mine! Haha! He has that stewpid Beckham's name and jersey no. sewn on the back of his Man United Away jersey. Looks real silly to me coz Beckham is no longer a Red Devil eons ago! Crappy!

Anyway Liverpool won 1-0! N Baby was still so "ya-ya" and confident that Man U will win. What crap! Into the last 10mins of the game, Baby and I were sitting at the edge of the sofa, hugging cushions tightly to our chest as if our hearts r gonna pop out, and biting our nails as we await the final verdict. N the result is...Liverpool has brought glory to me and all its fans around the world. Yay Yay! N poor Baby was stomping his feet on the ground in disbelief and disappointment (what a kid!). Wahaha!

Whatz even funnier is that I won our bet! I bet with him that if Liverpool wins, he would have to dance crazily and ridiculously to a full song picked out by me. I think itz gonna be hilarious! Coz Baby once mimicked the back dancer of a lion dance and there he was bending over and shaking his booty for 3 seconds. Altho it is a short mere 3 secs, it was long enuff to send me into delirious amusement as I burst out laughing ever-so-loudly. My Baby can really do funny and highly amusing things sometimes. I think thatz cool coz he knows juz how to cheer me up and make me laugh. Cant wait for him to fulfill his bet! And what if Man U had won? Baby haven't thot of a penalty for me when the match began...so we nvr got to that. Haha! But we dun even have too...coz Liverpool won! Yippeeeee!!!

It was another simple day...yet, we were so happy.

Ze Pink Panther

It was a Friday night of mad laughter and crazy-ness as usual. The Swing Girls never fail to elicit the energy out of me. We went back to the Japanese Buffet Restaurant where we once celebrated good times and end of school term. It was almost our 1-year anniversary there. It certainly brought back good memories, like how we posed crazily and took lotsa weird yet cute pictures, how we were cooking and talking nonsense at the same time (poor Fiona doesn't know how to cook and has to depend on the Super-Chef Adeline!) and of coz how Jialing tried to steal the whole tub of peppermint ice-cream to our table. Altho the service level wasn't as good as before, nor were we as crazy and energetic as before, it was a great dinner and catch-up session with my beloved girls.

Plans to go Thumper or KTV were thrashed. The Swing Girls juz wanted to do something relaxing. So Miss Fiona suggested gg to watch some bimbotic, no-brainer and super funny show. Typical of her huh? After much hassling at the ticket booth, the Swing Girls settled for The Pink Panther. True enough, it was the stupidest show anyone could ever watch. Im not saying it is lousy. It is just stupidly hilarious and highly amusing. Miss Fiona cudnt stop laughing every 5 mins. Steve Martin was a walking clown! Poor Jialing had to tahan Miss Fiona's loud laughter as she grabbed of her arms at every little thing she found so funny.

As Miss Fiona love and miss her Swing Girls so much, she suggested meeting at least once every month in the midst of everyone's busy schedule. N so the date was set at every 2nd Friday of the month. If not, 3rd Friday, if smthg crops up. So cya girls at our next gathering on 10th March!

So next up, it is supposed to be Charline's turn to organize since Adeline organized this one. But! Because she was not present at our last gathering, I supposed she might be a lil' clueless about what's gg on. So! Going down the list, Elizabeth shall have the honour of organizing the next meeting! Yay! Pls post comments if there are any violent objections.

Our 1st Valentine's Day together!

Our first Valentine's Day together...is coincidentally our 9th month anniversary. Double happiness, double call for celebration. What did we do? Nothing much. Juz a simple, loving day spent together. N that was all it took to make me feel like there is heaven on earth.

It feels like we've been together for a long long time. We've got it going...with a special connection and bond that we share. I said to my baby...through the hours, weeks and days that we spent together, don't you wish we could have just one more minute? He cudnt agree more. 24 hours a day doesnt seem quite enuff for us to spend together...a lifetime doesnt feel adequate for us to love each other. It feels like years instead of months. He feels like a husband instead of a boyfriend. I love that feeling...the feeling of being tied down. Because i know he is mine and i am his. My object of love has turned into an object of obsession.

A simple dinner, a nice walk, and an engaging conversation in the comfort of his room --- the itinerary of our Vday. And den, he sang...after such a long time. He has forgotten some of the lyrics to our song...but he did not forget how much i love it...he did not forget our tune..for he has been carrying it in his heart all the time. As he serenaded me, we held each other close and started swaying...den i joined him in singing. The picture was complete. It was such a sweet moment...my heart melted like valentine's day chocolates..to feel his breathe on my face...to hear his voice close to my ear. From swaying...we started dancing...waltz? ballroom? salsa? It didnt matter. We made up our own dance...twirling around the room like we were the most professional dancers in the world. We were lost..in a world of our own..in our cosy strawberry lala land, where we could be the best. We could be anyone we want, have anything we want, be the rulers of our land.

Reality hit us. It was time for me to leave. Quoting Shakespeare, parting is such sweet sorrow. But I know our separation will be short-lived. It wun be long before we step into our own world again...our lala land...together hand-in-hand. I can truly say that everyday is our Valentine's Day.

Where did Miss Fun go?

Working life makes you lose touch with your fun side. Not for many, but definitely for me. A fren said to me recently, "Ever since you started work, u r no longer happening. You became such a boring person...no longer the Miss Fun i once knew." It hit me hard that i was losing my life to work and to love.

Working my ass off yet with little recognition. Will increment come my way when i get my confirmation come this 22nd Feb? I doubt so. I am always so tired after work, n i realli love gg home to my mummy's home cooked food and to my beloved tee-vee and my cosy bed. N of coz...the phone, which i use to rattle off my little mundane musings and stories to my bf. And on other days, like Wednesdays and Fridays, I'll meet Nic after work for family dinners and Friday stay-home-n-chill nights. Den comes Saturdays and i'll be off with my bf once again shopping, eating, or simply lazing ard. N lo and behold! Itz Sunday....gym/swim day...sometimes Lazy Day where i laze ard and lie in bed the whole day, watching tv n doing nothing else. And I think my weekends r really fun!

So basically, to sum it all, my idea of fun now is just to chill out at home and laze ard. Yep Im not longer Miss Fun but Miss Lazy! And when i read my fren's blog or catch up with them, they have so much to talk about! So many things are happening in their lives. A good example is some of my friends go drinking or shopping with their colleagues..n i can NEVER do that! My colleagues aint happening ya know. All married..gosh... n most are with kids. N the rest who r my age, are not in my team...and they usually have their own happening life outside..or so I presume.

To the friend who commented that I am not longer fun...you are so damn right! I dun club anymore, dun drink anymore, dun sing ktv anymore...and i go home before 2am on saturdays, and before midnight on Fridays. I need to find myself again. I cant be lost in my work and get so tired everytime that i just wanna chill and laze ard at home or my bf's home.

I'll start doing fun things starting this Sat! Things i have never done before!Like... I wanna go visit car showrooms (without my dad)....itz time to start thinking when can i ever afford a car, or rather, how can i shorten the time i take to finally have my own car. I know a car is a liability...but...i simply hate taking public transport. There u go..although itz not such a big step to being the Miss Fun once upon a time...but at least the Princess in me is still alive n kicking.

Anyway, a Happie Valentine's Day to all. Treasure your love ones around you..n mostly importantly treasure your frens...coz i sure do miss mine like hell.

Oh yeah n i bought my Mr Nic. a Mont Blanc belt! It feels damn good to be able to afford nice and expensive stuff...Whippee! Lucky Mr Nic..hehehe...

Itz all about the money

I finally went to apply for a credit card after 3 months of working =) Applied for the UOB Lady's Card! UOB really offers the best credit cards around! What's more, as a UOB staff, the annual credit card fee of $60 for the Lady's Card is waived! For normal card holders, usually only the 1st year fee is waived. Hehe! So happie! The Lady's card really offers a lot of yummilicious privileges women can ask for. Itz cool. One of my personal favourites is that i can go for a strawberry spa mani and pedi at 20% discount. Plus other normal/french mani and pedi at special discounted rates at places like Fave Nails and Nails Couture. I also get twice monthly free accesses to Amore's (though im alry a member) and California Fitness' gyms plus free fitness classes! In addition, the Lady's Card offers priority entry and discounts on your total bill at certain clubs! How cool is that! Such a wonderful card for a super vain clubbing girl like me.

Think i might apply for the UOB MTV card too in the near future bcoz I stand to gain more clubbing privileges at much more clubs (e.g. priority entry, free covers, discounts on drinks, free entry for guests etc) and prioity bookings at concerts. I sound very sua ku right? I only find out about such stuff after so long altho i've been working at UOB. Well, cant blame me, coz im in the Commercial Credit sector mah. I shud educate myself more man. So lose-face, work in UOB yet dunno much about the Personal Financial Services' stuff. Freak...sua ku ass...=/

I love being a UOB staff coz of their wonderful staff banking perks! As a UOB staff, i get to earn 0.5% more interest rate on my UOB savings account than the normal rate. Gosh, i better try my best not to leave the bank...unless of coz i can find smthg way better elsewhere. Anyway i really enjoy my job, so not much issue here...unless i get fired or smthg..haha!

(Hmm...this entry sounds like an advertisement/testimonial for UOB Credit Cards. Shucks...)

Anyway i plan to work really hard to get rich faster. Den i can have more money to buy lotz n lotz of pretty clothes, bags, shoes, make-up etc (yeah materialistic ger). I also wanna have money to go travelling, support my parents n bro, get married (a lavish wedding!), support my hubby, buy a house n a car, n have lovely kids. Yay! Dream come true!

Bed and Bubbles

The past two weeks was a sad period for me. I was super busy at work and everyday was a stressful and hectic day. But wat made me realli sad was that we are going to have a customer event (cant reveal exactly wat it is for fear of competitors!) that will be from 7pm till 11pm which i will be organizing...and it falls on my birthday. I was realli upset coz i couldnt celebrate my birthday and Baby alry made plans for me. Wonderful and very special plans. Can u imagine me working my ass off for this dumb event that falls on my bday? N on my bday i have to work from the usual 9am - 630pm and den continue working at my customer event for 500 pax till late? I prolly end up with only one hour of my bday left to celebrate. And for once, i thot with my Baby's plans, my bday will finally be a very special and genuinely happie princess-y one.

But things took a twist of fate and left me slightly more convinced im not such a jinxed birthday girl afterall. (I always thot that im a jinxed birthday girl coz every year without fail, something bad will happen on my bday that always leaves me in tears somehow.) The customer event is now postponed to early next year after i gave my suggestion during a team meeting that it is not advisable to hold an outdoor event during the monsoon season. I din suggest it because i wanted to celebrate my bday. Thatz childish. But the outcome and success of the event is very impt to me as it will affect not only the mood of everyone but also my performance appraisal! N im so so happie that my boss actually sat there and listened to what i had to say. I have been trying to voice it out for the past two weeks but my boss doesnt seem to wanna give any attention to me.

On top of that, i juz found out yesterday that this very good guy fren of mine actually bought me the most expensive tickets to the 5566 concert in S'pore in dec! He said itz a bday gift to me. So happie!

Anyway dear frens, if u thinking of getting me gifts for my bday....i think im too old for that. Well, instead of gifts, i would appreciate ang baos and vouchers more. Haha! Anyway i am aiming to buy this Gucci bag that costs around $1200. So if u have no idea wat to get me, yet u realli wanna get me smthg, mebbe u can chip in the funds for my Gucci bag...hehe! Juz a suggestion. Of coz i will love anything u guys give me coz itz the thought that counts! Passe but true!
