Sad World Cup Weekend

First Spain, den England, followed by Brazil. What could be worse? All my fave teams r out of the World Cup. Well, my only consolation is that my most hated team Argentina is out too! Yay! I must really applaud the Germans. Right now, there is nothing left in the World Cup for me. So, to show my gratitude to the mighty Germans who knocked Argentina out, I shall pledge my last remaining WC zest to Germany to support them to win the Cup.

My devastation first started when my dearest all-time fave team, Spain, got booted out of WC by the mean France, who finally unleashed their dragon, after a struggle in the Group Stage and making it to the next round only during the final match of the Group Stage. I must say im really astonished by their comeback and their hunger to be the champions. Spain failed to reveal their true potential. There was simply no magic in the way they played. Yet, altho Zidane had a marvelous flair in him, which I was very impressed with, i felt that Spain deserve to go into the quarter finals more.

Itz all the stoopid referee's fault. He penalized Spain for a non-existent foul! Which obviously Cafu did not even commit. Before this, it was 10 mins before full time and the score was 1-1. A draw. It was that dumb french guy who tackled him from behind and fell backwards theatrically, making it look like Puyol had fouled him. But it was not what it looked like! My poor Puyol was trapped by his tackle from his back! N the fucking referee is blind! N so, that free kick near the penalty box had led to an undeserving goal from the French. If not for that goal, my Spanish boys wun be so desperate and blinded into concentrating on scoring and attacking, leaving their defence open to the opportunistic Zidane. I was devasted. I was hoping the match wud lead to extra time or even to penalty shoot outs, where my Spain might have more chances. But from the penalty given onwards, it led to impending doom for my Spanish boys. One evil pretense, one convincing unscrupulous act was all it took to lead to Spain's exit. Or at least in my eyes, the French was truly undeserving.

Altho i was all teary-eyed at Spain's defeat, i aint gonna give up. I believed that my next fave team will avenge for Spain, to knock France out. France won 3-0 over Brazil in the 1998 WC, so isnt it time for Brazil to give them a kick back? Yet...it was not meant to be. Brazil failed to fight for themselves...they failed to avenge Spain. Ronaldo has lost his form. Ronaldinho lost his magic. Kaka was disappointing. Adriano had no value. What happened to the Golden Boyz? Zidane once again was France's instrument to victory. His beautiful cross that set the ball for Thierry Henry to volley home, cost Brazil their reigning title.

I wudnt even wanna talk about England's silly-ness and their disappointing penalty shoot-out. I dun care about Wayne Rooney that ba-looney freak. I dun care about that ya-ya banana Cristiano Ronaldo. Fuck the Man Utd players. I was juz upset that my beloved Liverpool players Gerrard and Carrager failed to score during the penalty shoot-out, and Peter Crouch seemed useless.

After all these matches that failed me, killed my hopes n excitement...i can only sit back and sob weep n cry. What can i say now? I can only whimper "Go Germany, goal!", and den...*sob weep cry*.

Having my meals like a princess

I love eating with Baby. When eating out with Baby, I can just sit there and wait for my food to be served. Baby always make sure that we sit at a clean table (when we r eating at food courts, coffeeshops and hawker places), with clean chairs. He would also always make sure that whenever possible, I will have a chair to put my bag n stuff, so that i wun have to hold on to them when i eat.

Den he will ask me what i wanna eat and try to order both our meals from the same stall to minimize time-wasting. It is also so that i wun end up sitting there all alone for so long while waiting for him order his own food.

Sometimes he will order different food from the same stall, so that if mine taste yucky, he will let me have his and he will take the yucky one. Coz Baby said he is pretty easy-going w food n not picky like me. Other times, he will order the exact same food so that if i want more of it, i can take his. Or if there are scenerios like there are bean sprouts accidentally put in one of our food,or one has more fats than the other, then i can have the 'better' one.

Baby knows exactly what I like to drink, what to put and what not to put in my food. Baby also knows what kind of chilli i like to go with whichever food, and that I like my green chilli chopped thinly. Baby checks my cutlery to make sure they r clean before giving them to me. Baby doesnt like me to open canned drinks cuz he doesnt want my fingernails to chip or my manicure to spoil. So he always open the drinks and pour them out for me. Baby cuts tough meat into bite size and shells all prawns and lobster etc for me.

Baby is so sweet n thoughtful. I love having my meals with Baby! Yay!

World Cup Fever -Sizzling Hot!

I finally managed to talk my daddy into subscribing to SCV's World Cup Channel this evening! I couldnt take it anymore as i was bursting w excitment to watch tonight's Spain vs. Ukraine match! When i asked my dad two days ago, he did not want to subscribe as my mum was worried tt Daddy n me might have late nights n have no energy for work the next day, n my bro will be having 'A' level prelims soon.

Today, i found out that Daddy's concern was he had a misconception tt he needs to upgrade our SCV cable box to the digital one n subsequently have to pay additional mthly charges for the digital box or smthg. But his worries r unfounded as i clarified tt there is no need n subscribing is as easy as ABC n within the next 24 hrs! Just call and pay $15.75, n u get one mth of World Cup on your telly! How did I know? Coz Baby subscribed to it too! Yay! So, my daddy called to confirm tt my facts were right n subscribed! I was so happie! The Spain match is just an hour away n Daddy tried to talk the service personnel into activating the World Cup channel for us in the next 1 to 2 hrs in time for the Spain match...but she said she will try her best. So i waited n waited n waited..till the match started..still nothing...until finally at half time, i received the cable signal. But it was half-time! So i waited again for half time to be over...and yay! I cud watch my beloved Spain!

For the first half, Daddy n I were getting live updates n live scores of the match...but yet it only made me more frustrated tt i cudnt watch becoz it sounded so exciting! Also, the updates were not that accurate! The first goal was conceeded by Alonso but the website stated Luis Garcia! It was not until i checked another website that i found out the mistake...n soon after, they changed the name of the scorer to the correct one. SCREW UP! Boo! I cud've been more excited if i know itz my fave Alonso who scored!

It was 2-0 to Spain in the first half. However, both were due to deflection off the Ukrainian players. But who cares anyway..haha! The 3rd goal was oso due to luck as the referee gave a red card n a penalty kick for a seemingly dubious foul committed by Ukraine on Spain's last man. Din look like a serious enuff action to be dubbed as a foul, but oh well, who cares! As long as Spain wins!

At the end of the game, although Spain won by 4-0..i was a little worried. 3 out of their 4 goals were kinda out of luck. Only the last goal by Torres looks good. Just hope that they will buck up to get thru the rest of the world cup. Kinda hoping that Spain will get to the Semi-finals..but looks doubtful. Still hoping though, haha!

I've caught on the World Cup Fever! But boys & girls, please dun gamble n indulge in illegal soccer betting. Itz bad!

Latest Buzz

My computer has been attacked by a fucking tojan horse virus for the past 3 weeks! Havent got time to fixing it till today. On mc today coz i strained my tendons at the softest bone of my left foot! Or at least ttz what the doctor said. I guess itz becoz i went jogging on sunday w Baby fr his house to East Coast Park n back, after not excercising for 2 weeks. Prolly too strenuous for fragile little me! *Sob sob*. Itz all Baby's fault. He keep asking me to run. 'Run Run! Dun stop, a bit more only! We are reaching...' My ass! His 'a bit more' is a super duper long way ahead! Argh! Itz so painful tt im limping ard. N e doctor said my ankles r 'loose' so im prone to strains and ankle sprains. What the hell..my stamina is alry bad enuff, n now im prone to injuries? There goes my plans to lose weight and tone up! Supposed to go to the gym this week w Baby, but doctor said i cant excercise for the next few days. Damn it. Anyway, speaking of GYM, here r some fun n fit pics we took the previous time we were at the gym!

Anyway i finally fixed my comp when i was on mc! My several attempts with anti-virus softwares din work, so i got fed up and reformatted the whole comp. It was a tough feat having to reinstall all the other software n reconfigure them again after reformatting. But i did it! For the first time i did it successfully on my own! Am i smart or what! hehehe!

Im really looking forward to the World Cup...which starts Friday! Itz Germany vs Costa Rica. Not too interesting to me...im looking forward to watch my beloved Spain, all-time fave England, n Baby's beloved Brazil! I promised Baby tt i'll support Brazil if he supports Liverpool FC. Hehe!

Before World Cup, i was getting all excited over...the Great S'pore Sale! I took leave on the first weekday that GSS started...a Monday! N Baby was so sweet to take leave too, to acc me to go shopping! After Baby settled some stuff at his office, off we went to have McDonald's breakfast! We finished our yummy breakfast just when the shops opened at 11am..how timely!

Altho i was really excited, GSS was quite a disappointment. Most things on sale aint fantastically nice. Most of the things i had my eyes on were either not on sale, or had negligible discount (10% - 20%?) such that it still remains expensive! I ended up with more than half of my purchases bought at itz original price as they were not on sale! Crap! #$*#@&^!@* Im busted and broke now! Check out the dresses below tt i wanted to buy from GG>5. They were on a 20% sale, but still cost more than $100 each. Yet, itz not about the price tt i did not buy them. It bcoz there was no fate!

This dress is simply too short! But i LURVE it so much! If only it was a bit longer. Itz short length makes it look juvenile, n i cant wear it to work. =(

This dress is gorgeous! But itz too big! Itz size S yet still too big. N both the GG>5 outlets at Orchard sold out their XS size alry. Another boo =(

Ohh..check out my Baby..he looks so cute! N yeah, as everyone can guess, i made him stand there n pose like the model. Hehe! He looks super cute when he is embarrassed. Poor Baby, he's got a crazy gf.

This month is a torturous month on my bank acct, not only bcoz of my shopping sprees, but also i had to pay back a lump sum to my dad's cpf for my uni tuition loan, my one year due insurance bill, n a series of birthdays of the ppl close to me (e.g. lil'bro, Baby Nic, Soph,LiYing, Yanling, cousin's 21st, future nieces Livvie & Leticia). When the going gets tough, the tough must stop shopping!

Work it Out!

I went to the gym with Baby on Tuesday! I have not been working out since a month ago, when I went Amore Fitness for kickboxing with my colleague Hazel. Im so fat now. So much cellulite everywhere!!! That day, when I wore one of my short skirts, my daddy actually commented I've been eating so much that I've got thunder thighs now. Shucks! I was so peeved. Trust my daddy to say that. N my mum commented that my arms r very fleshy. *Sobz! Weep! Cry!*

Oh well...I put on 4 kg since I started work, and there is an increasingly amount of clothes that I cant fit into nicely anymore. Look like 'bah zhang' (dumpling)! I must start an exercise regime! Itz darn hard to slim down considering I dun have time to exercise so often (or rather, I just cant commit to exercising 3 times a week!). I plan to go to the gym AT LEAST once a week, and i gotta TRY to keep to it! No more lame excuses! The least I can do is to stop putting on more weight, and to tone up my legs and arms, instead of leaving them flabby looking. Shucks...so disgusted with myself!

I wanna go sun-tanning too! But it keeps raining these days, spoiled my plans to go tanning with Baby at the club. =( Plus im so un-toned...dunno where to hide my face when I wear my bikini.

My team leader just gave me a box of Slim Mints today!

She went for full-body check-up at a hospital and i think she got these diet mints for free. It was on my table when i came back from lunch. She also gave my boss' secretary one box coz she juz gave birth not too long ago so she prolly wanna to shed those extra pounds. I wonder why she gave it to me. Mebbe coz it's juz so darn obvious that my clothes r too tight and i put on much more weight since i first joined the company. Haha! Or mebbe coz she saw how much food i eat when we go out for lunch sometimes. Or mebbe coz i have been complaining too much about how fat i think I am and how I always say i want to 'jian fei' but still end up snacking in the office. Dunno to feel insulted or grateful for the mints.

These diet mints are to be consumed before each meal/snack. They are supposed to help your body reduce appetite and increase metabolism rate, n at the same time freshen your breath! It says 'Li Ying Sucks'. How crappy! I was so shocked. Baby joked that I shud take a pic and show it to my best fren Li Ying. N so I did. I took a pic. Hahaha! These 'vandalisers'...how stoopid.

Obsessed over a Brokeback Boy

I stumbled across a link in my fren's blog. I din like what i saw. It was a link is called "Hazel & Nicholas" and it links to a blog about this couple called Hazel & Nicholas...duh. Dunno who they are but apparently they r expecting a baby. Dunno if they r married though but i suppose so lah...haha. The blog name is BabeHazeNic. U know why i dun like it? Itz becoz:
(1) I love my Baby Nic Nic so much, i get jealous easily, even when his name is associated with another girl's name other than mine. Doesnt sound nice to me. Boo =(
(2) Hazel is my best fren at work and my closest colleague! Though she is from another team... Check her out below! I love shopping and yakking non-stop with her! N most imptly, she is one of the very few people i trust most in my office.

So, you put my darling baby with my closest colleague together... it is just plain weird. I cant imagine that..neither do i want to!!! So u can imagine how i feel when i saw the words " Hazel & Nicholas" and "BabeHazeNic"!!! Not nice....dun like! On the other hand, "fionic" sounds cool! hehehehe!

Gosh...i cant believe i actually blogged abt this. Sounds so childish of me! Itz either I love Baby too much. OR.....well....there is no 'or'. Im obsessed!

N our smiles and facial expressions are so similar! It is all candid and not pre-arranged. Plus! Look at the matching diamonte butterfly hairclip Baby n I are wearing! Haha! We were shopping ard when we stumbled upon Chameleon. Baby seemed fascinated with this hairclip. When i tried it on, he sportingly and curiously clipped it on his hair too! I found him so cute, i quickly whipped out my hp to snap a pic.

Doesnt he look so sweet and cute? Kinda like a transvestite gg out shopping with his(ahem..her?) female sisters huh? Reminded me of that time when we were in Bangkok and travelling on the train, where he mimicked the destination's name "Chit Lom" in an extremely 'Thai' and 'Drag' way. Got Candy, Yimei and me bursting out loud in uncontrollable laughing fits.

Sometimes i really suspect he is a Brokeback Boy. He loves Brad Pitt to the core. Besides mine and our photos on his room's bulletin board...he has Brad Pitt's pic up there too! He is such a lazy person but he even bothered to take the effort to cut Brad's pic out nicely from a magazine to stick it up. Plus...look what he made me take of him when we shopping at MBK shopping mall in Bangkok:

Baby was also very excited when he watched the movie "Troy" on HBO...and he was gushing to me about how much he loves Brad Pitt's butt (Brad stripped to his butt in the movie). According to Baby, he likes it coz it is so "tight, firm and tan". N remember the time he gushed about how nice Brad's blue eyes were when watching "Mr & Mrs Smith"? *faintz*

Also, Baby has a very close fren from his NS days. One of his best bud. N...he's gay! (K lah..bisexual lah) They r so close, esp during army days...that i get kinda worried. Sounds dangerously like the story of Brokeback Mountain huh?!

Oh no!!!! R u really a Brokeback Boy baby? Tell me now! I can take it! Really! *sobz!*

Wedding Bells Ringing

One of my best frens is getting married! Sophia, one of my dearest IJ sista, has announced to all of us yesterday that she is engaged to be married next year on 10th June 2007, which happens to be her 24th birthday!

I am so happie for her as I can totally understand how she feels. If you can recall, I announced last year on my 30th June 2005 entry that I was getting married. Baby and I decided to get married on our 2nd year anniversary on 14th May 2007. If we go according to our plan, I will be married one month b4 Sophia. BUT! I shall take this opportunity to announce that we r not getting married then anymore. We will be postponing our marriage to probably 14th May 2008 or 2009. We have yet to achieve our "financially stable" status to get married n afford a house plus all the additional expenses we will incur as a married couple. Furthermore, Baby is going to further his studies to get his degree in business (tourism management), starting this May. We'll need money for that too. So I guess our marriage plans have to wait. *sobz!!!*

Lucky for Sophia, her situation is different. Her bf is alry 29 yrs old, who is prolly financially stable at his age. N Sophia is a rich ger from a rich family! Sigh...really cannot compare. Altho she has been dating him for just a few months, he must be really something for Sophia to consider marrying him. Just like me and Nic! We dated for like 2 months and knew that we are soul mates.

I hope Sophia makes me her bridesmaid or one of her "jie-mei" or smthg. Haha! Oh...mebbe she'll sponsor my gown. That'll be cool! Plus make-up and hair? Hehe! Hor...Sophia? *hiakz* Poor Sophia. She's got a really demanding friend.

Oh yeah, by the way Soph, if you are planning to get Li Ying to be your bridesmaid, u cant! Coz she is MY bridesmaid. I "chiop" her long time ago alry! Haha! So why dun u make ME your bridesmaid? Coz im prolly getting married next, so wun get a chance to be bridesmaid anymore! The rest if our IJ gang...dun jump the queue hor! =P

First time, Last time

I have never really fancied the boutique "Forever 21", so i dun own a single piece of apparel under that brand. But one day, Miss Shopaholic had her eyes n hands itchy when she spotted the mannequin wearing a, what she thinks is cute, yellow knitted top. It has these puffy kinda sleeves that are so adorable! It also comes in 2 colours: bright yellow n dark blue. N the yellow one is so bright and cheery! Not your typical banana, but a sunny shade! So! Off i went zipping into the store, pulling the top over my head (juz like an auntie), and viola! Fitted me perfectly. So i bought it, altho it is obviously overpriced at $48.

I loved it so much, i wore it immediately after that. Well, itz partly also becoz my purple spaghetti top's straps kept falling off my shoulders and it was getting irritating...and some might say, obscene. My latest excitment wore well on me that day. I thot it was a good buy.

Then, after one wash...i wore it again...and it became LOOSE! Esp ard the neckline! CRAP! Im so angry! Lousy material that did not show itz quality until being washed clean with water that revealed itz true colours! Now i feel so darn cheated. I could have bought a much more worth-it top, with better material with that money!

So dear readers! Forever 21's clothes are not worth it! Im boycotting the shop! Hmpf! Lousy!

To make myself happier, I took some pictures with Baby on the day i wore my over-stretched, lousy, and used-to-be-my-favourite yellow puffy sleeves knitted top...coz my Baby never fails to cheer me up!

Baby likes to look at me. I love it when Baby looks at me! When he has all eyes on me, where his gaze will linger on me like im his beautiful sunset. Im an attention-seeker!

Look at how work has made Baby and I ugly. Stressful hectic jobs causes wrinkles and tired eyes on Baby. Me? My double eyelids have merged to become single eyelids! N i've now got really puffy eyes n cheeks that is probably ballooned with frustration n irritation. Im Miss Puffer Fish! I hate fish! *bleugh* But despite our work stress and frustrations, we still twinkle with happiness whever we are together. Thatz coz we find solace n comfort in each other. Yay!

Baby can say things that are really funny. One in a relax mode last week...and one when he was realli pissed off at work today.

Confessions of a Shopaholic!

"I shall not spend anymore money!"

"This is the last pair of shoes/ bag/THING i will buy for the rest of the month!"

How many times i have repeated these words of mine? MANY.
How many times did i keep to them? NONE.
Crap. I just cant resist shopping for pretty things!

In this past week alone, i bought 3 pairs of shoes (very pretty shoes! 1 from Tangs Studio, 2 from Gripz) that costed me an average of $60 each. I also bought another Guess bag from their latest collection ( I bought 1 in Jan and Baby bought me another 1 in Feb, and now i bought another 1 in March! That's 3 Guess bags in total!) N i bought 3 tops in the past week too. THREE...is the magical number i guess.

I went to the Metro Expo sale yesterday...and i din buy any bra and panties! Achievement! i usually cant resist the cheaper-priced Triumph and Bee Dee bras at departmental store warehouse sales. But...sadly..thatz bcoz i recently bought the new Triumph T-Shirt Bra Set that costed me about $85 ($79.90 for bra top and $24.90 for thong, with $20 discount for UOB cardholders!) It is as advertised, the SOFTEST and most COMFY bra i have ever worn. N it fits me so pefectly! Yummy! Anyway....at the Metro Sale...i ended up being house-wifey and bought myself a set of bedsheet, 2 packets of Rosti to cook, and a box of almond chocoalte biscuits. Hehe! I wanna cook rosti for Baby!
